I mounted my version of this puzzle. However, I didn’t use a wooden frame. After gluing, I put a large piece of window film over the top (to help with dusting it. I then used tacks to nail to the wall.
Helpful video Vicky, especially on the folders. I’ve framed papyrus paintings in the past with anti-glare glass and it works well. Might cost quite a bit though.
Thank you! I’m glad you found it helpful 😍 Yes - a few people have suggested anti-glare glass. I will have to look it up - bet it is a bit more to pay though x
Nice to see Entering the Bedroom on your wall (it looks great). I'm a puzzle re-doer so I never glue them, but I have a frame similar to the IKEA one you showed that I cycle puzzles through as I feel like it. It's a great way to always have new art on the wall and also to enjoy favourite puzzle images longer than one normally would after just completing it.
Entering the bedroom looks great. I have it, but am not finished yet. Love this method. I watched Russell's video when he made it and he has way more carpentry knowledge than I do, lol. I could do it your way. Thanks! Love your videos and live streams!
Yes! I wouldn’t be able to do the woodwork stuff without my friend, but I did pretty much everything else - I feel like Russell had more tools and a better space to achieve the outcome he got. It looks so great though and he was my inspiration! 😍
I can't remember if krypts hold together well and/or survive the pickup challenge, but if they do, you could probably not use the glossy part of the frame and it may just stay together since the sides of the frame will be helping hold it together, just a thought. Thanks for letting me know about the ikea frames, I didn't know they had the perfect size
Ahhh Vicky, I have been waiting on this video. My ETB puzzle came yesterday, the first one was lost in transit. It will be a few months before I build it though as I'm planning on moving so I can have a dedicated puzzling room, as well as a place to mount it. Thank you again for helping me with building a puzzle table as well. I can't wait to open this box! Blessings to you!
Yay! That’s exciting that it came 🤩 I’m sorry one got lost in transit! It will be great to have a dedicated puzzle room and I promise it’s going to look amazing on your wall 😍 Blessings to you too! Happy puzzling xx
Nicely done - beautiful puzzle that's still in my to do pile. I just finished the Ravensburger 5000 piece Big City Collage and it looks awesome. I took my photos and took it apart and put back in the box as I may one day want to redo it. I really did enjoy that one.
@@Vickymakesandbuilds I enjoyed it. I have the Space Odyssey one and may think about doing that next. Currently doing 2000 piece Island Life (Clementoni). Love your videos.
Great video Vicky, full of useful tips. I have the puzzle storage book and it has around 3 pockets unused and I can only just lift it but I do like it. I have seen Russell’s video and it was really interesting to watch and very thorough, but my walls are just so wonky I don't think I could use that method. I do think I could do it the way you have though so thank you for the tips. I haven’t actually started the puzzle yet but I will soon. The box is on the table ready. lol Thanks again Vicky x
Thank you! 🤩 I like the storage book too, I just need to adapt it slightly to suit my needs 😊 Are all the puzzles you have in yours glued or taped? That’s frustrating when your walls aren’t straight. I hope you enjoy the puzzle and that you manage to display it! I promise you, it will look amazing 🤩
I have just one puzzle framed in a glass frame, unglued. And yes, there will be some reflections. That puzzle album you have seems neat. I wonder, in regards to storing unglued / untaped puzzles in it, if you sandwitch a jigsaw puzzle in between a reasonably thin piece of cardboard, and a bit rigid piece of transparent plastic (like the ones on the IKEA frame, if they were of plastic), if the unglued / untaped puzzle would held more in place in the album. And perhaps one could use paper clips to prevent the puzzle from sliding out of the album. I have some small puzzles that I plan to frame, and currently I have sandwitched the finished puzzles between two thin pieces of cardboard (from a pizza box actually) and those cardboard pieces are clamped together using paper clips. Though that puzzle album would be neat if it had zip-locks on the side where the jigsaw puzzle might slide out. Considering we have zip-lock bags, that should not be impossible to have in such a jigsaw puzzle album.
zip locks on the side would be so much easier! I guess the designers never considered that idea! I agree, paper clips or some other type of clip would solve the opening at the top problem. I think any rigid material, card, foam, plastic would be ideal for keeping it safely together - I guess the bit that is awkward is getting it the right size - it’s such a faff trying to cut card etc to size. Again, it would be cool if the designers could have factored something like that in, but as I said, it is designed for taped or glued puzzles so that wouldn’t be needed 🤷♀️

That works! I just don’t like the idea of hammering tacks into mine - I like the sticking out effect - I think it really suits the puzzle 😍

The "Entering the Bedroom" puzzle looks so awesome on your wall. Congrats on completing this huge project.
Thank you, Clark! I couldn’t be happier with how it turned out 🤩
Museum glass has anti-glare properties in it.
I will look up some anti glare frames - I have heard they are pricey.
You can find antiglare ones for professional fine arts painters. I've heard they were pricier, though.
Yes, I can imagine they will cost more 😍
I was proud to hang puzzles as artwork. I had 2 in my very first apartment, years ago.
Love what your doing. Thanks for sharing!
Me too! Especially with my biggies ❤️

Yes! I agree - when they are not glued you can change them up and it refreshes your artwork! frames have good versatility in that way x

You can use anti glare glass to avoid reflection when framing your puzzles. I framed a few of my puzzles and it worked🧩
Thanks! I will need to look into it - I hear anti glare frames are expensive 😬

Great tips will ust those for my Disney orchestra 13200piece puzzle that I mixed all together
Yay! How is that one going? And mixed too!

Grace!!
lol - yes, Grace gets a cameo. He jumped up and started having a good roll x
I just frame mine without the glue, I have one in my hall and one in my kitchen
What frames do you use? Do they have glass or plastic on the front like mine? If they don’t, how do the puzzles stay put? 😍
