Wow I didn't realise, I just learned something. Thank you. I was planning on filling the system with neat antifreeze, I think I'll dilute it so I have the best of both summer and winter use. Thank you 😊
The manufacturer's recommendation: The standard recommendation is to use a 50/50 mix of antifreeze and water. his represents a compromise between cooling efficiency and the ability to prevent the mix from freezing during cold weather. After all, the initial purpose of antifreeze is to prevent freezing But a 50/50 mix does not give the best cooling. For improved cooling in hot weather, we should use less antifreeze and more water, perhaps going to a 25/75 or a 20/80 mix ratio
Very interesting, I have a question I need to flush my coolant and or antifreeze on my 2001 dodge neon, so do I need coolant, antifreeze or the diluted one? Thank you.
@verite7906 disregard, I put the 2001 neo on the wrong side of the question, I just wanted to know if I have to use coolant or antifreeze, but is already taken care. Thank you.
On closed cooling stern drive boats if you put to much concentrated antifreeze in will it overheat? All passages are clean new pump risers manifolds but temp is 170 this year intead of 160. Stat is new too. 80 ocean. That`s the only thing i can think of. Also guage and sensor new too.
the first thing he said was , antifreeze isn't coolant until u add water...I'm amazed at some of the questions on here..i bame the education systems...& legal weed😂
Why does Prestone make Dexcool and other specific lines if they already make a Universal coolant? Is the universal coolant an inferior product, they certainly don't advertise it as such?
He did. Antifreeze is the concentrated version. When you add water it become coolant. The one already mixed with water is called coolant. Pay attention.
@@letstalkwithandrewlove7880 Why be a Di@k head? he did not explain the difference. @sergotakini the difference is Coolant is usually a mixture of water and ethylene glycol, while antifreeze is typically a mixture of water and propylene glycol. if you use the coolant one that's already mixed it is more toxic while anti freeze is less toxic and is pet friendly. that's the main difference. He only explained what the container says and that you have to mix one with water and the other you don't.
You probably mean "diluted" as in "die loo tid" which means weakened by adding water instead of "deluded" which means believing something which is not true. Nevertheless great advice. 👊👍👌

Make sure you use distilled water and not purified drinking water.
00:40 the water bottle drop was so funny to me, idk 😂. I wasn’t expecting that
Watching him make the decision to drop it and hearing it hit the floor lmao

I would let this man sell me the entire stores worth of products, thank you for the coolant lesson
When do you need to use antifreeze?
What if you just got a used car that has antifreeze in it. Do I bleed it or mix it if I have a specific car say Asian made. If so, how do I bleed it?
Actually super helpful sir! Thanks

@@sernani99 I need to know too

Is 50% concentrate & 50% 50/50 a better or worse mix?
You do not mix if its already 50
You can dilute 50/50 if you want to further. 35-50% ratio of antifreeze is ok although your typical recommendation is 50/50.
So, Ethylene glyco to increase boiling point?

“I bame”
I wish it was still like the green stuff day 😔
I have a nissan sylphy Bluebird 2009. I don't know which coolant to use, and I don't have the manual . How do I know
Use green coolant
@@kalani1987 oil base or water base
Mechanic have me using oil base
@@leontaylor8899 oil base? You don't want oil residue in your cooling system
@kalani1987 I had seen it and explained it to the mechanic and he said it was OK. So how do I go about clean it out and ad the antifreeze

You can use the Universal coolant in cars that use Dexcool, but you have to flush the Dexcool out first
You haven’t answered what the difference is

Im from Pakistan had no idea about that thank you sir for teaching me the difference between them
Did coolant and antifreeze are same??
And now we have different race coolant😂
I didn't know Kevin Spacey sold car coolant...
Helpful info. Thanks
Superb 👍
Wait it’s no the same 😆
