    So simply put… arm goes back while body is moving forward. Thanks Coach. Kids love easy to understand coaching (and so do dads).

    Another great video. I have twin boys playing their first year in 8u machine pitch. I’m an assistant coach. Your videos have helped me (and my kids) tremendously. Thank you!

      I'm looking for advice on youth baseball bats (USA). Any good advice or sites that you can recommend? It's kind of confusing.

    do you have any videos or drills to do if you have a player that either drops their elbow when they are throwing or side arm throws when they shouldn't be?

  • @Scholarstorm

    When I practice I shortarm as my arm flips up (think like a touchdown signal) and then goes forwards. What's the best approach?

    How about some drills to help with short arming the baseball?

  • @Mike-cy5jg
    @Mike-cy5jg 5 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    I use to revert to short arming when I'd get tired I never noticed it till a coach once told me that's how they knew when it was time for a reliever lol

    Hey Mr.Antonelli I was wondering if your graduated from wake forest or did you enter the draft after 3 years? Is better to graduate or enter the draft when your eligible?

    My son has a tendency to throw the ball like a rainbow instead of on a rope. Do you think it’s his release point, maybe not following through?

  • @nathanrweber

    Great video. My daughter likes to bring her hip at the same time as shes throwing. Extends through and doesnt short arm. Its kinda strange. Almost steping while throwing. Any good drills or videos for that?

      I actually think teaching her that she can throw like she hits, rocking back first, feeling that pinch in her shoulder blades, hips gotta go first, will help. Then maybe the flamingo drill to make sure shes pushing off the back leg to get her hips through first will help. Thoughts?

    My seven year old is sort of doing this. It's like he's trying to shotput the ball using only his elbow and forearm. He loses a ton of power on his throw.
