Really, a once noble leader of armies with incredible powers that was corrupted by dark powers before turning on his comrades resulting in civil war and himself being locked in a suit a black armour. I don't really see the resemblance.

High Elves for the win. Sigmar and Bretonnia will send their troops to aid the High Elves! So will the dwarves! Also I noticed the Tomb Kings have once again been forgotten. Same with the Nippon Colonies(Samurai), The Pirate Kingdom and the Sultanate of Araby. I mean seriously wouldnt the Nippon Colonies attack the Dark Elves to help the High Elves? Gosh. Devs have forgotten 4 warhammer factions. To add, the Nippon Colonies are near the Dark elf realm and near the lizardmen kingdom.

Too expensive, also kinda generic and uncreative. Their world is blatantly based on our real geography. Even the magic elves island is literally Atlantis, lol It's cool to have fantasy europe battling with fantasy america vs every high fantasy crap you can imagine, etc.. But all this sandwich transformed into a movie or series? Hard to imagine.
Well they made Warcraft a movie. If that universe isn't a mess then I don't know what is.

Actually, he lives in Naggarond, while Morathi lives in her stronghold at Ghrond. The two are constantly at each other's throats, always trying to one up the other. Malekith has threatened to kill his mother on numerous occasions when she has attempted to undermine his authority, with the two even having come to blows in the past. The whole "lives with his mom" thing is just a meme. Even the incest angle was retconned out after 6th edition, and even back then it was basically just a joke based on the sheer improbability that a charred corpse sealed inside a suit of magical armour was getting intimate with anyone, mother or not.

I didn’t know about Malekith before this game.
I collected a few miniatures back as a kid, Vampire Counts and a few bretonnian knights - even a single regiment of DE swordsmen iirc.
But this game and how it portrayed Malekith has catapulted the Witch-King into being one of my favourite fantasy characters of all time!
Unfortunately for you Malekith has no model in sale now, he's been forgotten, killed in the end times of the lore. His last model is from the 2000s

I would like to see an old world faction let's play, which might be easier or harder depending on who's the big bad of the game. like are we going to get a blood thirstier coming from the south as blue bird comes from the north. but at the same time more trade and territory to make money.

CA really did go with fantasy elf Darth Vader here lol. But it is a pretty bad ass version of him.
I mean... Malekith is encased in armor (his body is horribly burned), is one of the most powerful spellcasters in the realms (only outshone by Teclis, who is also the only one he avoids confronting directly after getting whooped by him)... one of the best martial fighters... and totally intimidates pretty much everyone.
So I suppose he's kind of like Darth Vader.

It's really amazing. If only the lesser faction lords and heroes received the same love, or some, or any kind of love at all- this game would be amazing.
Than the game would cost 50% more, so yeah. Making games isn't cheap, as long as they dont pull chaos of warriors dlc again we shouldn't be on their case.
@tobiasL1991 I don't know man TW:W was not a cheap game, like 120 dollars including dlc's. I don't think a little more variety in cosmetics is gonna break the bank. Hell, I'd expect to pay for cosmetic options knowing the CA business model. Add a 8,99 price tag to it to pay for that extra workload. Just give us the option. As it stands having an army roster composed of a dozen generic identical clones is really immersion-breaking and the one major complaint I, and most people I know, have about the game.

Interesting that he has a shield in the final preorder scene. In all the pictures of Malekith i have never seen him using a shield, even in the trailer he does not use one.

because elves are squishy as it allows him to on a dice roll of I think it's 4+ reflect any spells coming at him back at their caster
for example of Manfred casted spirit leech there's a 50/50 chance of malekith ignoring it and sending it back to Manfred.
It's called "Surpreme Spellshield" iirc, though most of the stuff portrays him without it

Juggernautdemon he is no true phoenix king, he was a vicious bastard who used the cults of pleasure to kill many elves and overthrow the phoenix king poisoning him because he was butthurt he wasn't chosen, then he lost the civil war and was cast off. all the lore tells us he is an ambitious and evil bastard who only cares about himself. and the end times are absolute shit and make no sense, this game doesn't follow it for many good reasons. the only reason gw made him eternity king ignoring all previous lore was because they had to unite all three elven races and malekith is the dark elves.

Wood Elves alone would be crushed by Beastmen
Grimgor and his Waaagh! continues to fight the Alliance as well as Chaos
Grimgor kills one of the Heroes and in turn gets killed by Sigmar
Archaon defeats Sigmar (since he still has his Crown and Jewel)
Ulthuan still sinks, but more Dark and High Elves die in the sinking
So End Times becomes more of a curbstomp in Chaos' favor

Props to the sound design team over at CA, you guys have managed to make one of my favorite races feel how they should: extremely threatening and powerful, while at the same time slightly unsettling (that bass as Morathi walks over the dead High Elves is amazing!).

Guy Rivers CA kind of had to do a fantasy or let total war die. China won't let them make a historic China game due to the ministry of propaganda's policy on CCP image in games, it makes no sense but it's shafted so many gaming companies who've tried to work with china. And you can only do "it's Europe so many times before general fans say "why bother".

Jenagonu Ah ok, I havnt read any of the Warhammer Fantasy Novels. He first was featured in the Wahammer Monthly comics back in the 90s - they were actually pretty great if you get a chance to read them. I mught check out the books
Cirac1 ok ill take a look , novels are quite good too but theres loads of them . If you are intersted Malus Darkblade and Félix & Gotrek are both great series of novels .
As soon as I heard Malekith speak, my mind instantly turned to Lanius from New Vegas. That deep, gravelly voice that sounds like it comes from a Demon of Nightmares (at least, in lore for Lanius).
