BPD at its finest. Even though this character was not diagnosed with BPD, she is fully portraying BPD. It really highlights the struggles, she did such an excellent job. ❤️
Glad someone else noticed as well, it’s quite apparent of the overlapping symptomology of borderline & atypical depression, they both correlate and have apparent dichotomies but there’s still the quality of the fear of abandonment
i haven’t watched the movie in a while but i’m pretty sure there was a scene where she was diagnosed with BPD
Totally. I have a female friend with it and she acts exactly like that.
I have bi polar disorder manic depression acute multiple personality disorder and drug induced psychosis yea it’s hard on the people that love chu
I feel like Christina is such an underrated actress. Love her 🖤
Same :)
i loved her in that zelda tv show i only saw series 1 i couldn't find the second one
if they even made it
Amo ela❤
she's not underrated at all, she's a great actress. it's just her look
only landed her certain roles, it's why she did Black Snake Moan,
it was her way of giving Hollywood the finger by not casting her in
bigger roles. but there's no denying her talent, everything she is in
she knocks it out of the park.
now some might say if she's so great, why did Hollywood over look her.
it's like i said, Christina Ricci is a great actress from a talent
standpoint, but yall know how Hollywood can be.
you can be good, and still get type cast into certain roles. well in Christina's case,
she always looked young for her age, especially back then,
but unfortunately Hollywood especially back then, girls like christina were often
type cast. she has played in some big movies, but she was never
the lead actress in most. so it's only with movies like this.
@@Jeymezidiota Christina es genial☠️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
I have a few friends with borderline personality disorder and/or bipolar that have long-lasting relationships and have their own family. It can be really tough to get there but it is possible for some of us.
And people with BPD are so amazingly caring.
People with BPD are also pathological liars and manipulators
@@Kid_Charlemagne76 Not the ones I've known and met. Check your generalisations.
@@benedictjephcote6815 I know they're not all like that. I'm just stating a fact. It is true that lots of people with bpd are liars and can't be trusted
@@Kid_Charlemagne76 It sounds like you've had some difficult/awkward times with folks with bpd(?)
I guess a difficult part of bpd is one of them having low trust in others and a need for control -because many folks with bpd come from having very difficult and invalidating experiences in their past.
So, I can see how when a person with bpd feels the need to lie, or feel pressurised by a situation into lying, that it can then be a very intense situation. Which can be tough on the person with bpd and the person/people they're engaging with.
@@benedictjephcote6815 you can't control what happened in the past but you can still control how you treat others. A traumatic past isn't an excuse to be a pathological liar. Lying is a conscious decision to make, not an involuntary reflex. Mental illness or not, you can still choose to not be a toxic person
Damn! That is exactly what it feels like to have Borderline Personality Disorder.
Exactly. I struggle w it too.
"there's nothing u feel, that u don't feel right down to the bottom of yourself, ur incredible"
Christina ricci should've been nominated for this movie. One of her best performances!
Name movie?
Prozac Nation
It never got a theatrical release and was released like 5 years after it should've been..
Sorry, but she is a terrible actress. And this was a terrible scene.
I love this scene. Both actors are so talented. We all need to PAUSE before we respond.
I feel like her boyfriend is not that good kind of the actor
Rest in Peace Elizabeth Wurzel❤️
I miss you Elizabeth Wurtzel 🙏🏽⚘🌺
I've been in Lizzies shoes. Watching this movie almost made me feel like i was watching myself. All i wanted was for someone to love me choose me but yet for some reason i kept pushing everybody away until they were done. Life was so difficult emotionally in my late teens and entire 20's. Being in my 30's now and also now being a mom has helped me learn to control how i behave now. Sometimes you can outgrow this.
"Beautiful women just throw themselves at me" Jason Biggs was so miscast!
That's what I thought 😂😂 I thought the guy that took her virginity, Noah. Actors name is actually Jonathan Rhys Meyers ...but omg was he so gorgeous!!! Funny too bc my bf kinda looks like him a little.
@@Bella-Mae0422 And don't forget this was just after the hit film American Pie which is about his character (a clumsy, awkward nerd) desperately trying to lose his virginity! And he also did Loser where he played another awkward nerd.
@@gmann6269 lol he isn't the worst looking, just as you said he's usually type casted as the dork or nerd. Not the guy that girls naturally flock to.
@@Bella-Mae0422 He's really not good-looking enough to believably play a character that girls would throw themselves at.
@@gmann6269 lol I definitely wouldn't. Lizzie can have him 😂
underrated film
Please,don't blame her or him
She has bpd and just understand when someone is so negative and jealous all the time,it can be hard
Literally have been through this shit… the running away , threatened to jump out my car on the hwy …I really needed this reminder because she made life MISERABLE. texted me out of the blue earlier after we’ve been over and this randomly pops up. Wake up call thanks TH-cam algorithm lol
Lyrics
The song she's got issues by the offspring.
I'm seeing this girl and she just might be out of her mind
Well she's got baggage and it's all the emotional kind
She talks about closure and that validation bit
I don't mean to be insensitive, but I really hate that shit
Oh man she's got issues
And I'm gonna pay
She thinks she's the victim
Yeah
Now I know she'll feel abandoned
If I don't stay over late
And I know she's afraid to commit
But it's only our second date
Oh man she's got issues
And I'm gonna pay
She thinks she's the victim
But she takes it all out on me
Toxic..
When she said why damn I felt that shit
I feel really bad for her
I find myself in her
Stay strong the sun does come up in the end
@@jamesshaw6884still waiting for the sun
Jason biggs and Christina Ricci Had Great Relationship Cute thing going on in the 2 movies This one and Anything Else 2003❤❤❤
I have Just watched This great movie for the first time and I felt in love with that song that I didn't know. Better late than never 😊. All the actors are very good.
Emmaline i haven’t seen this movie in so long did you find it on here? Thanks
Gosh if only there were more guys like that
My partner is like him with my bpd, the guilt is killer
He actually does break up with her later on in the scenes bc she started becoming too needy, hovering and blowing up his phone while he's at his mom's house, he told her that she couldn't tag along bc it was personal family issues and instead of respecting his space and wishes she instead takes a flight to him and shows up unexpectedly and started accusing him of cheating to finding out he's actually helping with taking care of his mentally unwell sister... And instead of supporting him, apologizing for falsely accusing him she instead turns around and tells him he "gets off" on his sister's disability. That was pretty much the deal breaker for Rafe and he broke up with her for good.
Very difficult to understand a patient of Depression.
The patient needs a very understanding sensitive Doctor
Plus accurate medication and a good close friend and family support.
NOT medication.
& it's profoundly impossible to find a doctor anywhere that doesn't see broken people as anything more than a paycheck, & just keep tossing pills at them to numb them & "fix" them.
Medication doesn't work for every one, but it can actually help a lot of people.
@@badgerbadger-badger-Poppy It can also destroy their chances of ever developing a "normal" functioning brain. Also, doctors need to stop sticking literal children on medication. If said patient does eventually end up needing some kind of temporary help, chemically, wait until their brain is done developing, rather than destroying their life & leaving them with barely any chance of maintenance without medication once they're sick of pills & doctors & pharmacies & withdrawals from missed doses (because doctors are sadistic pieces of shit.)
Medication needs to STOP being the first route people take in any attempts to help those struggling with disorders. Start with the actual root cause; drugging everyone up is just a temporary bandaid, & makes their brain become lazy & stop producing shit it would have just produced on its own.
the best movie ever
I once dated a girl like her, and once I started realizing how miserable she was making me I ran away from that relationship like the plague. The last straw was that her behavior didn’t even change after I lost a family member. It become so toxic that I lost all empathy for her.
Sometimes you just have to walk away, it was the best thing you could have done for yourself and her. You needed to protect your peace and she needs time to reflect on her own actions and hopefully losing you will be a step in the right direction to get some help.
@@Bella-Mae0422 thank you for the helpful comment. You are right.
Great song from 80,s.Propaganda-Dr Mabuse
Oh what a good song, the only other song I knew from them is "Sorry for Laughing."
'Machinery' is very famous too. And 'Duel'. You must check them out, they're great.
Oh my god, music is awesome in disco
Facts I keep replaying to that 😂.
It immediately goes downhill quick! Oh shit! Rhe sad thing is I know exactly what she is thinking and know things are not going to end well. I need to read the book already.
I will not dance like Ricci , them I will dance like spider Man at years old 16 .
Damn Anna Heche is about to be taken off life support now too.. RIP Elizabeth & soon Anna..
Omg lit me with my husband .. it’s so so tiring
I can’t help myself either
I loved the whole kissing scene at the end
Name of movie?

Hey !! hey !! Bud please let's not take the lords name in vain

When you meet someone this crazy, RUN, don't walk.
She's not with us anymore.
Elizabeth Lee Wurtzel 1967-2020
It's called depression and anxiety. If you can't love someone through it and help them out of the bad days, then you don't deserve the absolute deepest most passionate love you'll ever have. When someone with A&D falls in love, they fall in love hard. You're the one not worthy. Not them. Stop being the one placing a social Stigma around those facing mental health disorders.
Erin Corey Thank you so much. I have a mental disorder that makes people think that I'm a "monster", but they have no idea what it's like to be this way, especially when I didn't ask for it.
