I can't find an RT-PCR test for less than $199 per person. The airport I'll be leaving from wants $250 each. I have to pay for 2, like you guys did. Ouch.

They let you have an antigen test instead of Rt pcr test when u arrive in the Philippines?

Did you guys have to buy the travel insurance for the trip? Our agent is telling us that it is a requirement but I don't see it anywhere saying we have to.

I remember my situation too when I came back to Manila, 2 layovers (Vancouver and Korea) and it was so rough cause I'm the only one. I miss the Philippines already..by the way, I'm a fan as well :)

Likewise it happened to us coming in to Calgary Airport were told we needed to have antigen test being told we were randomly selected, despite us having a pcr test 24 hr before leaving SFO, California. This was at the height of omicron variant in last December, 2021. Such a hassle but travelers cannot complain.
Yeaa its unfortunate but thats how it is travelling at this time i guess 😅

So glad that you guys are back in the PHL. We are hoping to be able to visit this year. So inspired to hear Jan speak Tagalog. I wish to learn Tagalog better and be able to speak it fluently. Most countries are like that, it's rare to not have a testing requirement even just to transit through. The point is you're traveling in US airspace, likely with US citizens so you have to meet their requirements too, even if you're not stopping off in the US. Literally almost every country on Earth has similar testing requirements for people transiting through their airspace.
It’s happening in all other countries as well.
