I remember this arcade game for one reason and one reason only. Gather round, for I shall tell you a tale of woe... I was 9 or 10 years old and I took a trip to South Carolina one summer with my mom, older brother, uncle, and cousins to visit family over there. On one particularly hot night, just us kids went to some boardwalk type place with a bunch of little arcades lining the streets. In one such arcade, I was playing WrestleMania with some rando I didn't know while my brother and cousins disappeared into the back to fuck around with the air hockey tables and/or those basketball hoop shooting things. I'd lost sight of them because the place was so packed but I didn't care. I was just too absorbed in trying to figure out how this game worked. That's when a foul, foetid odor swept through the place. At first I thought it was merely a fart, the stench amplified by the sweltering heat and the crush of bodies, but it soon became apparent that it was something far worse. One voice rose above all the others, a Hispanic youth who loudly proclaimed that "someone done shit they pants!" And there I was, rendered speechless due to my attempt at fighting back the roars of laughter that threatened to tear my sides asunder while simultaneously gagging from the septic aroma. The kid next to me asked, in a distinctive southern drawl, what smelled so bad in there. Digging deep, I finally managed to choke out, "I think someone done shit they pants." WrestleMania long forgotten, we'd both howled with laughter until some frantic teenage arcade attendants ushered us and everyone else out of the arcade, screaming "OUT!" and "WHERE'S THE FUCKING MOP?" As everyone rallied outside as though we'd just stumbled through a school fire drill, I saw a boy far younger than myself waddle towards a woman who was clearly his mother. His once blue Bart Simpson-esque shorts were almost entirely brown, fecal matter running down both of his legs. It looked as though he'd sat upon an entire tray of fudge brownies. For it was he who done shit they pants.
I do believe in every childhood there's at least one memory like this. As a HUGE wrestling fan, I love when you talk about anything to do with wrestling, Phelous. We're around the same age, so we definitely started watching wrestling around the same time. My first wrestling game that I played extensively/owned was the one on PlayStation that had Steve Austin on the cover. Was that WWF Attitude or WWF RAW? I can't remember. Anyway, I remember getting that game and seeing Bret Hart in it, but I didn't understand why he was, as I started watching WWF *right after* Survivor Series, '97. Maybe around Royal Rumble '98. But anyway, I remember thinking "Who is this guy? Why is he never mentioned on WWF?" lol. Yeah, I didn't know anything about wrestling or Montreal at the time. I was like, 12 years old. Didn't discover all that stuff until we got the Internet a few years later.

"..Throwing fireballs around.." I was listening to a episode of "My Brother, My Brother and Me" the other day and they were talking about how it would be cool if they had a "wizard" wrestler. I mean fuck yeah man, why not? It's all theatrics anyways, so let's get crazy. I want some DBZ style fighting and monologuing going on here. Get a practical and special effects team in there for stuff like magic and energy based attacks.
Can we all agree that Razor Ramon and Undertaker would have been hilarious cameos but it is still amongst the top 4 promotional videos for video games But Brett Hart's best promo work ever and I only thought he was the best for physical capability at pro wrestling
Pretty sure the blue royal blood Hunter Hearst Hemsley-version didn't use the sledgehammer at the time so I guess perfume makes sense because it's "elegant and fresh" =P

Anyone else notice that the Undertaker put Yokozuna & Razor Ramon in the grave are wrestlers who've passed away?
The nostalgia is strong with this one, thank you.
Why is he never mentioned on WWF?"
lol. Yeah, I didn't know anything about wrestling or Montreal at the time. I was like, 12 years old. Didn't discover all that stuff until we got the Internet a few years later.
Yeah that was Warzone you're thinking of, I was always really glad Bret was still in that game, haha.
Power Punch sounds like an energy drink
OH you're right XD
This video was a real hoot
Also Undertaker’s 2 outfits in the game are his old grey gloves and his purple gloves
It took me WAY too long to realize the hands and chair that Mr Perfect have in the Royal Rumble game are photoshopped
I'm upvoting this video for Meowthkind alone. That is just amazing.
Phelous and the promo tapes, imagine him changing the thumbnails for that 😂
I love that idea 🤩
Man this was Awesome I've still got these videos from coliseum videos they were put in with wrestling matches that were on the tapes. Wrestlemania the Arcade memories man hearing about all the stuff from wrestlers an all removed from the game WOW. Amazing Vid
Big Win, McMahon!
first WWF game memories and i love that you cover this
11:26 -11:29 Did that guy in the back just slap the dude with the glasses on the back of the head just because Bret Hart made his speech lmao daaaaamn lol
The graphics kind of reminds me more of another Midway arcade game called Pit Fighter.
"..Throwing fireballs around.."
I was listening to a episode of "My Brother, My Brother and Me" the other day and they were talking about how it would be cool if they had a "wizard" wrestler. I mean fuck yeah man, why not? It's all theatrics anyways, so let's get crazy. I want some DBZ style fighting and monologuing going on here. Get a practical and special effects team in there for stuff like magic and energy based attacks.
I had a really crappy day today but watching your video cheered me up more. Thanks for making content as always Phelan. *Thumbs up*
Glad it helped!
@@phelous It definitely did! ^^
Can we all agree that Razor Ramon and Undertaker would have been hilarious cameos but it is still amongst the top 4 promotional videos for video games
But Brett Hart's best promo work ever and I only thought he was the best for physical capability at pro wrestling
Pretty sure the blue royal blood Hunter Hearst Hemsley-version didn't use the sledgehammer at the time so I guess perfume makes sense because it's "elegant and fresh" =P
Ah I remember playing this all the time!
Great Bret hart impersonation!! That shit was funny!
This was one of the games of my childhood. For some reason I used to think that Doink was entirely made up for this game.
The upcoming match.. it's a real hoot!
Wooo! Go mewthkind!🥳
Thanks again for sharing it✌️

Even though I'm not big in wrestling, these vids are quite fun
Yeah it’s so informative and cool 😊
I remember Paul Bearer having a high voice but didn't remember it being that high, I thought you were doing his voice as a joke for a second haha
Phelous, it’s thanks to you that I recognised the word Wrestlemania when I watched Groundhog Day yesterday 😂
So Thank you 😊
“True to life.” Razor can pick up Yokozuna and piledrive him. How realistic is that?
One thing I always hated about wrestling games why is Rey Mysterio picking up the big show over his head and throwing him out of the ring
Only Lex Luger can be able of doing that!
There’s a mortal Kombat arcade game?!🤩
Wow! A mint-condition Meowthkind!
Loved this game for a brief window of time LOL. We had In Your House also but I always felt like it was too over the top... took it way too far with the silly. Sort of like WWF in 1996
Yeah, I definitely preferred more grounded wrestling games for the most part but I kinda love that they did make ones as ridiculous as the 2 Mortal Kombaty ones.
I love when you cover wrestling stuff. 👍
1:04 your drawing is one of a Kind
😎aw yeah
All these promo tapes belong in a great big FIREEEEE!
Bret can't escape his sharpshooter set-up moves of doom, even against an arcade cabinet!
