Even with your fair skin you got some sun without getting burned. Good job. I grew up at the beach on the Gulf Coast of Florida. Be careful. I am 100% Brit by ancestry, the sun can really do a number on our skin.
Southern California has the beaches one goes to recreate, and yes, they can be quite beautiful. However, I must say the Northern California Coast to Central California can be utterly breathtaking and is a must see. And Mimi, Old Blighty does not wont for striking coastal scenery.
I love America! I've never been to the west coast but I know the east coast pretty well. Laguna Beach looks like paradise. You should take your guitar next time Mimi, I'm sure you'd get an audience pretty quickly!
I'm so glad you're getting to enjoy my home state of California. If you get time and want to see some more beautiful coastline, my I recommend Monterey and Carmel By The Sea. The 17 mile drive in Monterey in stunning. Big Sur is just south of these two as well. I think you'll fall in love with this area as I did. Thanks for sharing your adventure and safe travels to you. The purple shell can be a pick holder or you could use hot glue and make a pin or to somehow wear it maybe necklace or in your hat or like for a jacket to display it hair tie attached somehow great color.. I got it buy a Puka shell necklace and hot glue a clip on the back of the shell to hook onto the necklace so you can always wear it.. maybe get the jewelry store to sell you a clip for it to add it to a Puka necklace to wear it... For a reminder of your special find on the trip to the beach.... Hot glue should do the trick and a good clasp... So it wont come off... Then talk Norm into buying the Ice Blue Strat for Frey in Texas because he has such great ideas....

Your joy at seeing the view and a blue sea reminded me a little of when my wife and I took our Ukrainian house guests to our local beach here in Denmark on a beautiful sunny day when even the waters of the Great Belt were completely still and an azure blue I've only ever seen on the Aegean. It was the first time either of them had stood beside the sea in their lives.
Your doing the right thing by doing all ur travelling while you're young so many ppl regret not going travelling when they were younger, I hope u have many great adventures ahead
It’d be a tropical paradise if the Pacific Ocean along California wasn’t so damn cold thanks to how the currents there flow down from the chilly northwest. If you’re from somewhere that has warm ocean waters, it’s almost like getting into an ice bath.
Wow! Laguna Beach. I know it VERY well. Having been born in So Cal in 1955 I've been going there since the 60's. That is one of the jewels of that area. Good choice.
Not for long. The homeless army is marching that direction, and there's nothing to stop it. So many business's and companies have fled the area fed up with the crime, taxes and insane regulations that they have slashed funding for all services, including police. So enjoy it while it last, it will be their litterbox and used needle dump soon. So many pristine beaches have already succumbed to the relentless march of the homeless/addict/brain damaged. Not if, but when.
Calif ( sounds like KAH-LEAF) is beautiful but that Pacific Ocean is anything but Pacific it gets very rough and the water is very cold. Glad you are enjoying it, its a percect place for you, enjoy it Mimi.

Southern California is a part of me, I'm so very glad you got to experience all these things you've not seen before. You must see northern California too. The vibe in Cali is like nowhere else, did you sense it?
No offense...but I was wondering if this individual is stoned or drunk. She seems like she can't wake up fully or something...like her speech is sluggish or dragging or something. Also, though her eyes are beautiful blue, she seems to not open them fully and the skin in the eye area is darker than the rest of her face...maybe it's an auto immune disorder of some kind. Her playing is at an intermediate level at best and she seems to be using her body to generate more interest in herself and her music than would be possible if just left up to the strength of her playing. That said...this woman is very appealing overall but I guess my perceived faults regarding were too much this time around and I had to open my big mouth. Sorry about that mimi and best of luck to you in your pursuits.

It's nothing like Florida or the gulf coast there. The weather in southern California is PERFECT. You can chew the air down on the gulf coast. 😂😂😂

Take about two weeks off. Start at northern California or southern California rent a car and drive up or down the coast. You will have a ton of fun .
