I think what's the most amazing thing about this is that you carefully laid out jumping through each part of a multi-step, multi-phased process so that anyone trying to reproduce can be as efficient as you are with jumping to other tasks while other items are going through their cooling/long cooking stages and then pulling it all together in the end. Great work!
I meal prep lunches and dinners as a busy homeschooling mama of 5 hungry boys. But usually cook a hot breakfast each morning. Which pushes back school starting because I’m always getting interrupted. This is so smart!! I definitely need to do this!! Thanks for the inspiration and the great meal ideas.
We also moved across the country from California to Wisconsin. Everyone thought we where nuts. Haha We are in Southern Wisconsin and are praying for a little farm of our own. Until then, we have a little urban homestead.
Wish i had seen this sooner. I only cook for two now, but these would have come in nice when I was working full time and all three kids were home. I will try several of each recipe to take when we are camping because they will be easy to pack and clean up at camp will be super easy. Thanks for your video. God bless you and keep growing.
This looks great! I have 6 little ones that are 8 and down, love your videos and you inspire me. We have a goat and alpaca farm so I love your videos and get really great ideas from you. I also love your apron, so cute.
Wow! I loved this video. I can’t wait to try these recipes and methods. Breakfast time is a very stressful time in our home. I truly believe this will help us with our routines!
I love the video! Very informative. I’ve watched a few of your videos and i’m wondering, how come you have time to do this with so many kids? And also where are they? 🤣 I never see them running around you or helping you?
Thank you! I didn’t have time when all my kids were little. I have many older kids now that help out. My kids are usually just finishing up school and heading outside to play while I’m filming. Also, my older kids don’t usually want to be on camera, so they might be helping or around me but avoiding walking in front of the camera.
My husband works out of the home 2 days a week and takes the bus so he has to get up pretty early as we're about 45 minutes from the office. Anyway, the night before he goes to the office, I like to prep oatmeal in the crockpot. He just has to pour in a jar of water and turn it on high for 2 hours. I do 4 cups oats, 1 cup powdered milk, a couple tbsp sugar, and a pinch of salt. In a half-gallon canning jar I put 2 chopped apples, a tbsp of cinnamon, and top it off with water. The cinnamon keeps the apples from browning. :)
I loved it! Thank you so much for the awesome ideas. I am waiting to pick up my azure grain order and can't wait to start milling my wheat. This video showed me what I have to do next. Prep! May Yah continue to bless you and your family.
Can I have your kitchen so I have room to do this 😅 you're amazing... Food prep is exhausting to me. How long, including the hour of prep the night before, did this take?
Ha, my kitchen does definitely make things easier! If it helps, I did much of this in our tiny trailer for years before we got to move in to our beautiful home. It takes about an hour the night before and then most of the day, but that's dealing with kiddos too, so probably a few hours of actual work.
I have a butter dish like you have. I got it hoping I could leave my butter out and it would be soft, but it’s hard. I put water in the jar. Is your butter soft? I love watching your you tube. You have great ideas that are very helpful!
First time on the channel and I love it. What are you using for the yogurt parfaits? Is it a plastic cup with a lid? Is there a container like that I can purchase economically in a dollar store?
I’m so glad you found me! The yogurt cups are actually just 8 oz. (Aka jelly jars) glass canning jars. You can get them in big packs from most stores. The plastic lids are from walmart and are made for putting on canning jars after you open them. For the 8 oz jars you want the “regular mouth” size.
Thank you! I actually removed it to make some changes and never got it back up. Are you on my email list? I'll announce it on there when it's available again. Just go to bit.ly/tfsfnewsletter to sign up.
Is there an alternative to using so much plastic? I love the ideas, wish I could have planned ahead like that when my 5 were little. But using so many baggies is not very sustainable?
Yes! I just ordered some silicone reusable plastic bags and glass freezer containers. I have also switched to using silicone mats in place of parchment paper for some things since filming this, which helps too.
It takes a good chunk of the day just because I’m having to care for kids and sometimes homeschool alongside the food prep. I just plan a day where that’s my only big job to accomplish. My big kids are a huge help. They can either help cook or help with littles. If you don’t have big kids, I’d suggest getting some special activities out for littles to keep them occupied.
Hi from Brazil, I have a family of 5 for now which is considered large in here.... the things I hear 😢 I'd like to purchase this spreadsheet but I can't find where. Could you please help me.?
Hi Vitoria, thanks for watching! The spreadsheet is only in my membership currently, but will be listed separately soon. Make sure you are on my newsletter to be the first to know when it is available again. To sign-up for my emails: bit.ly/tfsfnewsletter
Making those breakfast burgers I would cut them all, butter them all, put eggs on all, burger meat on all, cheese on all & top. It would be a lot quicker OR if you have the helpers 1 ingredient or step per child.
Hi Hannah! After many have had a chance to try it out I wanted to make a few tweaks. I will add the full Month of Breakfasts ebook to my store soon. Make sure you are on my email list and I will announce via email when it is available. It will also be available at the same time to my members (at no additional charge).
I love this video and the ideas. I care for my 86 yr old mother and it can be difficult to encourage her to have breakfast with any bit of independence. Something like these ideas, I can see her grabbing a jar and finishing it off herself. She always used to prepare her own breakfast and enjoy that bit of cooking that she has left - but these last few months I've noticed she's not doing the cooking options and mostly just eating the packets of instant oatmeal. I have steel cut & rolled oats, cream of wheat and dried fruit / nuts, but she no longer makes them. I also have yogurt, fruit and granola - but she never puts a parfait together but will eat it if I'm making them. So, this would be helpful and maybe she would grab it. I hate her losing her independent breakfast time and being stuck with whatever I'm having when I cook, especially since I'm a bagel & coffee person and rarely make something more. I hate pointing it out and making her feel put on the spot, so something like this would allow her to simply get her meal herself w/o making a fuss over her no longer using the stovetop. She does use the oven, so those breakfast sandwiches could also work. Thanks again for the ideas!
Will you make more videos like this? This was so helpful and well done! Thank you!
I’m so glad you enjoyed it!

Pretty amazing watch you go through that. Plus family get good home cooked meals
So glad you enjoyed it!
You are absolutely amazing! I love watching your videos. We are retired and don't even have children. I still get fabulous ideas from you!!
Thank you, that is so sweet! I'm so glad you enjoy them!

Have you ever tried to do sheet pan pancakes? It seems doing the sheet pan method would save you a lot of time
I have and the texture just isn't the same. We do them occasionally though.

I have a butter dish like you have. I got it hoping I could leave my butter out and it would be soft, but it’s hard. I put water in the jar. Is your butter soft? I love watching your you tube. You have great ideas that are very helpful!
hmm... yes, mine stays soft as long as it's at room temperature. Maybe your water was REALLY cold.🤷♀️ Thank you!

Such great ideas! I am looking forward to the newsletter! Where have you found is the best place to purchase glass jars?
I’m so glad you enjoyed it! I was able to purchase jars and caps in bulk from Walmart.com for very reasonable prices.
Where did you get the jars an lids…???? They look awesome
They are just standard canning jars, available anywhere canning supplies are sold. The lids were purchased from Walmart.com.
Love this video! Do you have a link to the spreadsheet?
You have inspired me to do this. Thank you! Where did you get your plastic mason jar lids?
It’s a game changer! They are from Walmart.

It is no longer available online, but it's a 7 qt, heavy bottom skillet
Nice

This is so inspirational!! How long does it take you on average? How do you do it with kids underfoot? 😉

True! When I do it in "real life" I have helpers so it usually goes pretty quickly.
