In this video we go over Ja Morant’s first signature shoe - the Nike Ja 1.
Retailing for $110 USD, this shoe has just about the type of cushion you’d expect with a forefoot Zoom unit. No crazy bounce or superior impact protection, but comfort is decent and should be responsive enough for most people. Traction is one of the strongest parts about these, as they work well on both clean and dusty courts. The Ja 1 fits true to size, and is a little snug going TTS partly due to the cushioned foam collar and padding. They’re also lighter than shoes such as the LeBron 20, KD 15, PG 6, Luka 1, etc.

Been ballin much longer than most of your subscribers and the shoe performs extremely well in my opinion! However it does run a bit short so i went up half a size and the fit was perfect and for the price it's a no brainer.

My only complaint about these is the laces are a bit too long. Otherwise, great shoes.

Umm they’re pretty close. Ja 1 has better traction from my experience but otherwise All City 11 is better.

Hi Tommy, will the cushion be better by adding sofsole airr insole? am 5’6 small guard and like to (used to) play fast, at 37 yo😂 my knee no longer able to cope with hard cushion shoes
@@yis17 Hello. Yes I feel you… I haven’t tried that myself but to be honest there are just so many better options out there. New Balance HESI LOW V2 I would strongly recommend.

If they’re actually selling like Nike says they are, I can see them potentially adding more tech to his next signature. If it becomes super popular, it could prolly be the most tech heavy shoe in nike’s line.

I'm a 43 years old of age who play pro basketball in Puerto Rico!! 😂😂😂 And wtf happens with the basketball shoes today!!
Would you say that these are an ok width for a 2E wide footer or do you think the New Balance Two wxy V3s are better (the other shoe I was considering). Most Nike shoes are too narrow at the ball of my foot.
New Balance does sell a wide version of the TWO WXY V3, but it depends on where you’re located - so if you’re 2E or wider that’s definitely the better option. Ja 1s are already decent for a Nike shoe, cause like you said they mostly run narrow, I’m just not sure if they’ll work for 2E.
I don't mess w/ guys wearing these. It's becoming a statement piece for "good shooting" and "deadly".

Plain but clean look imo. This color I'd give 8.5/10. In terms of performance sounds like a good start, look forward to see how they build off it. I'll stick to my Lebron nexxt gens and NB two Wxy v3s for now

@Tommy these seem like a nice shoe. I wanted to let you now a little tip I figured out for the shoes who don’t have the best traction or just don’t perform as well on dusty gyms. Clean the sneaker bottoms, dry it off then add WD40 on the rubber let it air dry and when you go play it will give you a good traction even if the floors are not the best. I tried it even on the LBJ’s 19 low and it still gave me good traction. Hope that helps you and others on here. Give this man a like and subscribe he gives good breakdown on performances. @@TommyLiu4 I know some shoes don't need it, but for me I have a lot of shoes I love the shoe but the traction is not the best. Like The Lebron next gem. Love the shoe but when the gym has a lot of dust I slid a bit. But not till I used WD40. Crazy thing 😆 🤣.

Hi yeah probably my personal fav shoe of all time - fit is snug and tight so I’d recommend going half size up from your true size, especially if you have wide feet.

Nike release really bad or not that great balling shoes this year. There is no shoes in there line-up that I would want to play in rather than some L-Ning, Adidas or even New Balance. Idk why they keep releasing meh sneakers...

Hello. Happy early birthday! PG 6 is still my top recommendation, if you can still find a pair. Otherwise 2) is Curry 10 and 3) is Tatum 1.

I’d personally take the Tatum 1 - lighter, better step in comfort and just more unique. These will be much more durable however.
