I hope you enjoyed these top 10 Tips. Honestly, all of these can apply to writing anytime, anywhere! Let me know in the comments if you'd be interested in an HB Writing Group!
I would love for you to do a HB fb group. I can't seem to find writers in my area and would love to know where everyone is from. Perhaps working into small groups of similar genres to write in for different groups of virtual retreats. It would be awesome to find a face-to-face writing buddy....eventually.
I'd love to join a writing sprint or virtual retreat group. I've only actually gotten to go out on a writing retreat a couple of times, but I love doing it. I personally LOVE simply going to a nice hotel and doing some focused writing for a night or two. Love all this, Sarra!
I'm staying at a hotel this weekend for a solo writing retreat where I plan to participate in the 3-Day Novel Contest. You offered some really useful advice, and I'm excited to see what works for me. I know I would have forgotten to pack my silly writing totems / toys, so thank you for including this on your list! I have a Stephen King Funko Pop figure that I like to think helps get "the boys in the basement" noodling on a story; it'd be a shame to leave him at home!
This has me perusing Air BnB for places I might be able to go for a long weekend to knock out some writing of my own. Thanks for the great tips! I'd definitely be game for an HB writing group!
I would love to see a HB writing group made available. Not sure I'll get to participate much though as my sprint counts are likely to be embarrassing. Can't really carve out even 20 minutes of uninterrupted time when you're breast feeding a newborn and have a toddler running around. Seems like most of my writing takes place in stolen 10 minute segments here and there. That being said I was really proud of myself because I hit to 20k mark on my first book last night. It took me 3 weeks. My kanban board had been arranged for me to hit 20k by the end of the quarter so that was really awesome!
All very good tips. I also find it helpful in order to more fully cocoon myself is to take noise cancelling cozy headphones and have some white noise or music ready to run. A lap desk and/or a heated blanket is a great addition allowing me to work from bed.
New subscriber and I’ve been binge watching your videos while I’m taking writing breaks (usually while doing something else also, like cooking for my family cause work never stops, haha). You’ve got a lot of valuable, useful information and I wanted to take a minute to say thanks for everything. I appreciate it. I’d also love to hear more information about virtual writing retreats. 😊
I would enjoy having a writing sprint/retreat. I have an idea on a future video series for you to consider doing sometime, would be World Building. I am so confused on how to begin creating a world to place my story in. I love your videos and have learned so much.
This was great! It's nice that you gave the layout of what a solid writing retreat looks like. I've got a retreat in the works and seeing this gives me hope I have progress to look forward to! Would love the virtual writing sprint video as well.
Watched and re-watched your past videos before subscribing today.. wanted to say I've enjoyed all your tips, tricks, and inspiration. Every time I'm not feeling 100 percent sure, I will watch one of your videos. So thanks and congrats.
I can so relate to leaving yourself a note among the writing. I generally skip a line and write something like: Can we get some dialogue in here???? then skip a line... Or need some scenery here - somewhere!!!
I too, have been binge watching, and gleaning much. I would love a virtual group. I am fortunate to have the time to write which is also the problem as I don't set a schedule, therefore, I get nothing done😳
I'm in a facebook group with another youtuber who hosts weekly writing sprints on Thursdays. I'd love to be in another one that is regular but not on Thursdays. :)
These were wonderful tips and I hope to use them soon. Looking forward to sharing this video on Twitter and LinkedIn this week :) I would love to join a HB writing sprint group if that is something you decide to put together. A virtual writing retreat sounds interesting and I'd love to discuss the benefits and logistics involved!
I'd love to be part of the sprinting group, especially if there are daytime sprints. Most of my friends have day jobs and sprint in the evenings. But I'm trying to spend my evenings with my husband after his day at work and be completely present and not writing.
I'd love, love, love joining a HB writing group! Count me in 😁❤🤱also, I saw your announcement on Instagram about your new addition to your family! Im so happy for you. Congratulations!
Haha, I don't eat sugar at all!! But I used to go to these retreats with Red Bulls and loads of snacks! The problem there is that you get so far and then you crashhhh
Great tips :) Just do something to get a larger breath - I get exausted listening to your short breaths - also not at all healthy for you ! Might help to meditate some minutes before recording - best wishes :)

I have a room on Chatzy called 20/10 split. Always looking for focused sprinters to join me.
The problem was you didn't eat ENOUGH junk food! A morning bowl of frosted flakes will wake you up for a sugar hangover. ;)
