Trying to put this on an old 'nettop' PC, the install failed when it couldn't find a network connection - apparently two files needed downloading to complete the install, and it could not find the wireless adapter. Windows 7 just installed without a hitch.

@@EverydayLinuxUser I've managed to use the Windows installer to put it on my desktop alongside Win 11 and it had to connect to the internet to download two files which it did through Windows - no idea what the files were. At boot, if I choose Q4OS, it runs but actually takes longer to boot than Win 11. Nor can I figure out how to connect wirelessly.
I've been trying Linux distros for well over ten years now, and Puppy Linux aside, they all seem to have a steep learning curve.

I would definitely switch to Linux. I did a test on an old notebook, with this Q4OS distribution. Great, but... no one knows how to operate a CZUR stem scanner yet. 😢 That was the goal of my essay. Linux often lags

What do you mean by flag? After you install it you shouldn't need the usb drive any more. It should just boot into the OS

Also what i used is the installed cd not the live. But when i used the live it boot up but i think the laptop cant handle the 64bit os
