- This video is two laps through Root Beer Tapper without losing a life. Each lap is 13 levels, so the video stops after level 26. Each lap after the second is exactly the same as the second, so it doesn't get harder. And yes, the game is still fun.

I love how Wreck-It Ralph introduced a whole new generation to 30-year-old gems like this.
And, no, I did not make a typo when I wrote that last comment. I intentionally wrote "gem", as in treasure.
For me it was The Hex.
This bar in OKC has a Tapper Machine and I'm going to take the high score. Now it sits at about 70k.
Ive hit 40k once I've still got a ways to go.

Man, back in the 80s, I dropped a fortune in this game in quarters. It used to be a blast to play with the plastic tapper! You'd flick it with your finger and it'd bounce up and down and just fill and throw the beer. All the hours I'd played this game though I've never seen the space stage! Great job!!
The tapper was a major draw to this game for sure. I played the hell out of it every time I saw it!

I just played this game for the first time in an arcade today. The "Budweiser" version, and it is addictive! 🍺
I realized it, so of just how fast the bar patrons/customers come right in for their first drink of wine/liquor. Thus, the bartender has to catch the empty beer mugs before they hit the floor and break/shatter.
One of the most frustrating, challenging, difficult, hilarious games I've ever played. I never get past the first level. This game takes a lot of skill. They also created a game called TIMBER. The tree chopping game.

Of all the arcade games I've played, Root Beer Tapper is probably my favorite. The cabinet's controls and pace are perfect.
I never played Root Beer Tapper but I loved the original Tapper game. This is amazing. I remember playing for hours and days never even reaching the space stage.

My advice..... never pass a bar without serving a drink if someone's there. If you are on any level where there's 4 people on each bar, I usually start by serving all four on the middle one, then move to the top one, then the bottom one, then the other middle one.
However, sometimes the person on the very top sends a glass back right at the start. Instead of serving 4 glasses to the bottom row, then skipping the other row, i serv two to each. Try to never skip a row without serving a drink.
I also know already is, that the bartender is serving root beer, not liquor products of any kind.
This is like watching the Rainman playing Tapper. Absolutely incredible! "Yeah...yeah, definitely like playing Tapper. Definitely like playing Tapper with Charlie Babbit. Uh-oh, 4:00...time for Wapner.

I was NEVER able to get pass through this.. um "club" sort of, with all the punk and weird costumers. Never! And I just KNEW IT that the next level (stage) would be amazing, I just haaad to see it, but could never win it! I'm so happy to see it here, but at the same time so sad I wasn't able to reach it on my own.
Anyway, you're a pro, really amazing playing. :D
Same! The game isn't meant to be beaten after level 5, it gets exponentially harder at that point.
Unfortunately the music kind sucks for most levels. The first two are okay.

Great job! I notice that you often serve more drinks than there are customers, but just enough customers come out to catch those drinks in the nick of time. Is it just intuition when to serve extras, or is there some predictable pattern to when more customers come out?
They'll come back a set amount of time after they go away, so if you clear four customers from a row, the next time one comes back, all four will.

I made it through cowboys, sports fans, punks and aliens in the first lap. I could never get past those punks in the second lap. I miss my Commodore 64.

This was the Xbox 360 version.
This is a hard and frustrating one to do, even at the easiest level.

i could never make it past lvl 2 -____- i either let a glass drop or sent out too many or the customer would reach the end

It's really strange and basically bad that no one grabs the tips that occasionally get left by people. I look at them as tips. If you got them even a few times it would make a big difference because they're worth a rediculous amount of points compared to anything else. Getting one is equal to serving like 15-20 customers. If you have the time, quick pocket that cash =]

Was this ever on the NES? I swear it was and I know it was included on a few PS2 collections but I swear it was ported to the NES.

Yeah, it's weird. I even Googled it and it wasn't. And like I said I played it on the PS2 Midway collection but I swear it was on the NES. I think I may have had the Mandella Effect happen to me or something.
