Marcus engaged in the campaign as a 9 year-old boy and has returned to Costa Rica 30 years later to explore what had happened when the campaign ended, which resulted in a book recently published. After this journey in time, we heard stories of hope from local engagement and potentially promising pathways for forest protection and restoration of degraded areas in the Brazilian Amazon.
The presentation was held during the event "Stories of hope from tropical forests and how to strengthen promising pathways" that took the form of a vernissage and a seminar and was held at SEI Headquarters in Stockholm on the 25th of March 2024 on the occasion of (and a few days after) the International Day of Forests 2024.
