@@GeekStreet Slap a 400v 4uF ac capacitor across the load might want to put a 470k resistor across also for the capacitor to discharge through, works for led and fluorescent, I've also just purchased a no neutral light switch that uses everyday wifi.

Hey, I've ordered a couple of Lonsonho-branded models of this switch (looks identical, same Tuya platform etc.) I just wondered if you knew if a 2 or 3 gang switch could be used to control a physical light and a smart light. Let me expand; in our lounge we have two ceiling pendants and some Hue-powered wall lights. At present there is a physical 2-gang switch and a Hue Tap on the wall controlling each element. My plan was to wire in a 3-way version of this switch, with two of the switches controlling the physical lights and the third a "logical" switch linked to the Hue lights. The only downfall I could see is if the third switch needs a switched live to activate it or if the unit simply having power from the other two gangs will suffice.
@@GeekStreet thanks for the reply. My Lonsonho-branded switches turned up today (they are the same X71X a devices as yours, the last X signifies the number of gangs so I think yours were X711 and mine are X712 and X713 for 2 and 3 gang respectively). I connected the 3 gang up today but could not get it to pair with my deCONZ gateway (and don't really want a 3rd party gateway) but I'm wondering if I had my wiring wrong because both switches turned on both lights in my room but if I used switch 1 they stayed on but if I used switch 2 they came on briefly then turned off. There was a also a really annoying buzzing from the capacitor in the light fitting. Did you fit the capacitor and do you hear any noise from it? I've ordered a live wire detector from Amazon to make sure I have my switched lives the right way round (I assumed they were correct at the switch but best to double check). I had to put two wires into common and then one each of the switched lives into L1 and L2 for each light fitting.
Almost certainly got my wiring back to front - on the switch I took off, red was in L1 and black in common so I wired it the same in the switch - it worked but not correctly, so I presume (but will wait for my tester to arrive) that actually, red is common and black is L1/switched live (as per various wiring diagrams I've seen since). I wonder if the capacitor buzzing was related to this.

Geek Street I watched that video and it’s a very clever way around the issue. But I’m confused as to how that works with this particular switch, as there’s no neutral.
Apple HomeKit??
Is a Zigbee gateway required for the switch to connect to WiFi?
Yes
is this just on / off switch ? can it control dimable gu10's ?
Just on / off, no dimming option.
link of the uk isn't working
Is this need/install with a capacitor ?
No need, just need a Zigbee hub.
Would it work without the internet?
Yes, it work without internet as well as without connection to the zigbee hub, nice manual fall back in case automation is in trouble
@@marcrupprath5131 thanks indeed
Has anyone tried this switch with the smartthings hub?
I would like to know too. 😂😂
Hi I have several with Smartthings hub only. Just search and will show as Thing. Change Name and set to Zigbee switch within ide. Only issues i have are flickering bulbs.

Hi.I’d like to buy this switch.Does it have this flickering issue with any kind (wattage) of led bulb?if you tried it...Thank you
@@karledlin5277 you mentioned to changed in ide can you explain please
Any idea if this works with Home Assistant?
I think it does if you check out the documentation for Home Assistant and look for Tuya integration.
you say i need a Zigbee hub for this to work, I have the SmartThings Hub would this work it ? or do i still need yet another hub...
Sorry for asking but im new to all this smart tech. I thought once i got the SmartThings hub that would do for just about everything i needed to use..
In theory it should work but I've not tested it.
DO NOT use the aliexpress link. it points to a different switch which requires neutral and looks exactly the same! I got mistaken and bought the wrong one due to this!
Hi apologies for this. Have corrected the link and it now points to the right one. Thanks for pointing this out!
Why put "WiFi" in the title of a video about a Zigbee switch? WiFi and Zigbee may operate on similar frequencies, but are very different animals. A "geek" channel like this one should know the difference (most Amazon/eBay sellers don't).
You know what I've been doing so many videos lately completely missed that, thanks for highlighting....let me update.
