      Thanks for your comment , this is an old video so there have been a lot of new mods out since then but the basic content is still valid .

      There is also the lizard wheel roller that came out after this vid , however there is a chance that it will launch you into orbit so be careful 🤣, Thanks for watching and thanks for your feedback 🤗

    the Case IH Steiger AFS with whell weights and big engine is 25.8 tons, so bit more than the 9RX, but i didnt know that that little compacter was that good, thx for sharing the Info :)

      That is true , However the large tractors are less agile and sometimes get stuck . Its a lot of trial an error

    Im late to the party but i would still like to add the way i do bunker silage. I use the Claas Wheel loader with Bale extension. Thats 20t just the machine and i take four 6500-litre bales with me. Wide tires have no issue navigating over the grass.

    Great video thanks. I've been enjoying the silage, it pays well. Can only have a certain number of bales at a time so I'm onto the bunkers now

      I started doing bales, but I feel it takes to long to collect at time of sales (36 silage bales per cut) so I switched to the bunker. Really wish the bunkers came with info on how much you ca store in them, because it cost me a bundle to get the right sized bunkers. Do you happen to have any suggestions on which bunkers to go for?
      I've seen switched to a medium sized bunker big enough to hold 1 cut, then I transfer the silage the following month (As the grass grows) to a silo for storage until selling), but about to start a new run with tougher conditions and don't want to end up spending money on something to small or to big for my new grass field.

      @@Pecomica I have switched over to the Fermenting silo from Oma Tana , It will take grass chalf and hay and convert it to silage .
      Efficient and it stores it for you . Unless you enjoy the compacting and removal process . That would be my recommendation😁
      cheers

      @@LooneyFarmGuy I've seen that one, but from what I recall, it only ferment 150K L per day/month. And my field gets me around 350K per mowing. So I would need several of those to compact enough.
      Setting up the conveyor belts isn't much of a hassle as they usually have a good reach and only need to adjust them once or twice to fully empty it out. Usullay a ton of other work to do during that time with other stuff so I just let it run in the background.
      in my new series I won't have the same access so will have to aim for something more tangible. Possibly the silo for storage/gravity compacting.

      @Cacheola 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Pecomica I can get a million L's in the medium. Back up as your're offloading and fill in the holes. I don't mind baling 150's (5500L) with the stock baler then whip around with the trailer and load 24 at a time. But on console you can only have about 200 bales at any given time, so, no storing till the price goes up. What you can do is use the multifruit silo, wait for your silage to fully ferment then store in the silo until the price is up. That's what I'm doing now... have 2.5M liters to sell atm lol, trying to use the conveyors but not having any luck

    I'm newish to FS22, So far a semi trailer/dolley/medium large tractor has been more than enough for me instant compaction while unloading. 60k liter dumper, compact while dumping, I drop 30k then back up while unloading the rest. takes 30 seconds, Then run over it 1-2 times and it's ready for the next load. Seems the dumper trailer/dolly backs up straight while dumping, otherwise good luck. Not an issue if you have an open ended clamp. Maybe not realistic but it works great.

    Great comparison.... My main problem with bunker silos is trying to get the blanket to remove so I can collect it. Maybe there is a trick to it that I haven't discovered.

    • @LooneyFarmGuy
      @LooneyFarmGuy  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Oh , When you have your Help window open you should get a % number of fermenting progress , and then at 5100 on ps I believe you press your L3 to lift an edge of the blanket .
      Hope that helps , I forget to tell the small details sometimes as it is now automatic 😕
      Thanks for watching and thanks for your comment 😄

      If the blanket is stuck you can usually just push the silage around a bit with a frontloader bucket and get the blanket removal trigger to spawn that way. For me on PC using a controller it's LS/L3 to remove the blanket. Just walk up to it and there should be a cue for it.

    The biggest CLAAS allows you to add weights on it. Can you test that?
    Also, each of the tracked vehicles you did WITH the dsc?

    what's the best way to get the silage out of the bunker?

    • @LooneyFarmGuy
      @LooneyFarmGuy  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      good question , I cover this a bit on my other video step by step silage , It all depends on how much money you have and how big your clamp is . Personal preference also apply

    • @Pecomica
      @Pecomica 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I use conveyor belts to transfer it to a modded silage bunker or silo. Since I only sell silage in December when it is at it's highest price and do four cuts per year. The off month (When the field is growing back), I do the transfer of the silage to the bunker/silo for storage so it is empty for the next cut. The final cut is in November so the silage isn't fully fermented when I start my sales in December, but will be during the day/month so I just conveyor belt it straight to my trailers who deliver it to the sales spot

      Nawaro Maus, a bit late response. But the Nawaro is a big and faster conveyor belt on tires. It's on miscellaneous machines and will grab most things out of the ground. The only downside is its size, maybe if you have a little silage clamp it won't do the trick.
