My takeaway from these EQLZ shoes is if they can make legitimately good performance shoes with uppers that are truly knit means Nike has just been too cheap or too lazy (likely both knowing Nike) to put out something like this. If Nike actually wanted to make a "protro" Kobe 9 elite it would be done similar this.
Don't want to trash EQLZ, but the double standard is ridiculous nowadays. Every reviewers hype up almost every shoes (and the bandwagon effect continues with the blind customers) that is not Nike. However these shoes mostly do not differ from extra budget Nike shoes. How many shoes are there out nowadays (especially chinese brands) with some sus named foam insert and some crappy shank and everyone goes crazy saying what an amazing tech. If Nike sell shoes with the same tech (only with foam midsoles, React, Renew, Cushlon, Lunarlon), without Zoom units, everyone start to bash the company, tough the price ranges of these shoes are mostly lower than same teched shoes from other brands. You can get good Nike shoes from 100-120 bucks (Renew Elevates, Gannis Immortalities, GT CUT Academy, Precisions, Fly By models, etc), similar tech chinese brands sell for 120-250 (!!!) bucks, and everyone goes crazy and hyping them insanely. Don't get me wrong Nike could do better obviously, but it's a little disgrace to forget, that all brands started to copy Nike designs and techs to get somewhere. I can name you hundreds of shoes that are almost copy paste of (older) Nike models. So technically these upcoming brands don't add anything drastically new, they just do replicas, often with higher price range than the original Nike products had.
@@ÁdámKanizsai-m4u issue is that half of what you are saying is false. Boom foam is better than any foam nike has made so far, and slightly behind zoom air/turbo in terms of performance. When has they provided trash shanks? All of chinese brands shoes have at least a midfoot shank, mostly being carbon fiber instead of plastic or no shank like nike. Prices only depends on where your located and which website you buy from, US may have more discounts but they can choose something other than nike, such as new balance or addias. Yet other parts of the world may not have access to shoes as cheap, while chinese shoes are plenty affordable. People bash nike because of its potential, we are the customer we should get our moneys worth, not a logo. Imagine sabrina 2 with zoom turbo and a heel unit. Imagine freak 6 had a zoom unit in the heel and full carbon plate like the aj11. Hell they dont even give good performers for the price.
My take and it could be completely wrong is that Nike has the 2 year warranty that covers just about everything included under wear. For example a zoom bag pops on day 728, Nike still gives you a voucher for full retail price. I think Nikes products are designed to limit that which restrict creative ability.
@@cillinlee3760 See, what I just said. Both Freak 6 and Sabrina has forefoot Zoom + Cushlon, but it's trash. I had tons of basketballshoes (Li Ning as well), and Boom is nowhere near Zoom units, more like Renew. And these shoes are like 125 bucks, but you want added carbon fiber and heel zoom, when the Chinese brand shoes has only sus foam + carbon fiber for 180. That's the blind double standard. II guess you made your statements based on reviews and not on your own experience. And what are you talking about? If you see around, all customer complain, that the Chinese shoes are the ones hard to get, not the older brands. I guess you are form there somwhere, so you may can get those brands cheaper, however in Europe, in the US there are ridiculous extra shipping costs on the shoes that are not too cheap by default as I explained.
@cillinlee3760 Yeah ignore this guy, he is tripping. The only thing he has said that is valid is that the shipping costs in Europe screw with the value of these Chinese brands. Besides that nearly all of these Chinese brands provide better value and materials(moreso in the cushion, outsole, and shanks department) based both on tech breakdowns and personal experience. Heck even one of the 361° budget models that priced out below $60 came with quikcqt foam (etpu foam) midsole and a carbon fiber shankplate which was one of my favorite experience with a shoe, better than any nike shoe I have played in (in a range from $60-$180) in my life. And to boot, the shoe has proven itself to be far more durable in all aspects. And this is an experience I have had with many Chinese brands (361, xtep, lining/wayofwade, anta, etc). Now all of this isn't to say there aren't good nike shoes, or even those that can provide a serviceable experience, but the issue is similar to how i feel with the movie industry; We should be living in the freaking golden age of nike basketball shoes given all the technology and advancements that are available to nike. Instead they choose to do just barely enough with each shoe, slap a players name on it, then give it one major brand-name markup and sell it.
Love these shoes, I have the other pair and they are perfect for me. I’m 6’3 about 235. I get great fit, comfort and good bounce. I wore KD’s before EQLZ. This brand is great for what you pay for.
What position do you play, game style? I’m 6’4 230 and play #3, I drive to the hoop on occasion and like to do step backs. Are they poppy enough to play quite a bit? It was my one worry with these as EQLZ seem to be targeting small shifty guards.
