Erin McCarthy has always been one of my favorite bowlers on the PWBA tour. I've seen her bowl really well. She didn't bowl that well today. She was out of the pocket a lot and got some lucky breaks. On the other hand, all the other ladies struggled even worse than she did. So the lanes must have been hideously tough and she just managed them better than the others. Great win for her, first major, big prize money, and right before getting married.
212, 220, 235, & 212 for an 879 on that challenging pattern. Remarkable bowling IMHO! There's something about Erin McCarthy that intrigues me. Admire her demeanor, her intellect, & find her to be adorable. Am glad she went through the field & won the U.S. Open. She symbolizes what I like about the PWBA.

More heartbreak for Danielle McEwan. She dident leave 3 7-10's, but she did come into the final as a clear favorit. Still topseed two weeks in a row. At some point her luck is going to change no doubt about it! Big congratulation to Erin McCarthy. Very well deserved! TBH she had the better look all the way through the match

Wow...as much as I hate to say it, it was McCarthy's night to win: she had many times she should have split big and didn't, then opponents couldn't capitalize nor keep their momentum. I really feel for Danielle, as she's done everything to win the last few times and those damn 7-10s have killed her--and NONE of those were bad shots! She lost one match a few weeks ago with a closing 7-10 on a great pocket shot (probably would have won the tournament without that, and Plazas got crushed later on) and then last week's 3 7-10s?!?? You just can't make up this bad carry for her, folks. :(
Shannon O'keefe has been one of the very best bowlers on the PWBA tour in recent years. In her match against McCarthy, she was hitting the pocket more consistently but just couldn't carry those corner pins until very late. Then, when she had to have it, she got the first 2 strikes in the last frame, and all she needed was an eight to win on her last ball. I don't know if she let up too early or what. But when an elite bowler of her level needs just an 8 count to win, and somehow throws a Greek Church 5, that's something you almost never see.
Man I feel for Danielle, all that hard work not paying off as of yet on TV. That last shot she threw after the match was decided was pretty clean. She’s making shows which is the only way to eventually snap one off. But congrats to Erin… well deserved and in this game, spare shooting and execution absolutely gave a much needed win for both her and Motiv.
Nice work with Erin climbing all the way up the ladder from the opening match. How many other times has that been done in US Women's Open history? Only other time I can think of off the top of my head was Anne Marie Dugan in 1991.
Danielle is just beautiful to watch. Not just her good looks, but the attention she pays to detail makes her approach and delivery just absolutely textbook. Even when she has an off game, it's still wonderful to see.
I love watching women pro bowling but they shouldn't make the shot so easy. Everything is hitting the pocket. I bowl over 20 years and when the shot was easy everyone was bowling 800 and 300 games. But it's fun to watch. Lol. Liz johnson and Danielle Mcewan are my favorites ❤
18ml oil. 2.5:1 ratio. Absolutely not easy! And, the first 3 rounds of qualifying were on different patterns, all about 1.5:1 ratio. Most 220 league bowlers would be able to manage 185-195 average on these conditions.
If you can, please make the sound a little louder. I have it turned up all the way and it is still a little weak.. Thank you for helping those of us who don't have or can not get cable.

No matter how hard I try, I cannot see a woman when I look at Shayna or Erin. I love their bowling prowess, but have trouble with their "pronouns." Don't let that stop them from being amazing athletes!!

She needed 8, 7 would have only tied...just fast feet, hyped after throwing first 2. Erin had all the breaks this tv stepladder, and took advantage of them
Her rev rate is like 250 bro that’s not much to work with to be real along with the fact that her shotmaking was subpar. If you have a low rev rate your shotmaking has to be on point. she has the same storm reps that ball rep so many champions so I don’t think the problem lies with them.
CDB just doesn't know when to stop talking. So annoying. Glad Ms. Erin won. She was rolling hot. When somebody goes on a tear like that, they're very hard to beat.

She made the 6-7-10, which was significant for her match. Danielle will win more matches, all of the ladies on this telecast are terrific bowlers.

Seems like Ms. McEwan slows down slightly on her 4th step. She’s moving with good momentum up until that last step. Maybe it’s nothing. Maybe not.
