This is fantastic. I have listened to Jack Scott singing this on Bandstand but I never knew that there was this later performance. Wish I could have heard this before Jack died. I am 70 now. Jack's voice and this song are one of the greatest ever. I love my wife of 52 years and when I hear this I instantly love her more.
RIP Jack Scott. He passed away in 2019, Congestive Heart Failure. He was 83. WOW, I remember this song so well. I had this collection of tapes from Candlelite Music and I started to listen to all the songs. This one was on there. WOW so great!
Incredible, I found a copy of his Carlton LP 7.5/10 for 25 cents this afternoon @ a thrift store. I remember a friend who was beyond intense regarding rockabilly music turned me on the jack Scott around 1976. I am so glad he did. Amazing voice & songs.robert Gordon/link Wray did a great version of the way I walk.i bought a nice cd box set of Jack a few years ago.just a very under rated talent. definitely should be in the rock & roll hall of fame along with Ronnie Hawkins
Great clip of a truly great singer who is sadly missed. And interesting to see him backed by the Jordanaires, just as he was on this single, instead of his usual group the Chantones. We've enjoyed Jack's live gigs several times here in the UK since the 80s, and never a bad show by a true consumate professional - and a nice man too. RIP sir.
Liked Jack Scotts music when first hearing him so long ago. Oh to be that young again. Thanks for sharing. 🎶😊
Elvis was great but, he always said the Jordinaires made him sound great. These guys never got their stop in history. God bless you guys
The Legendary Jack Scott Is Rock-in Roll Royalty, and my favorite pioneer from the 50’s
The BEST !
JACK SCOTT IS MY FAVORITE SINGER I ASK THIS SAME WHAT IN THE WORLD COME OVER YOU😢😢❤

What a voice! An underrated singer, who I reckon could rock with the best of them!
They used to play this at the cinema when my late hubby and I were courting .1960. Love it still, what a voice
Which cinema? Was it in Detroit? I'm was born in Windsor, but moved away in 1959.
Played guitar for Jack in the seventies and early eighties. This video to me is crowning legacy to Jack’s career.
You sure did. You were great on The National Anthem of Rock & Roll. Jack Scott was there when it all started.
@@ronniesalyer3095You never play guitar for Scott I play guitar for him many times but I’ve never heard or saw you there so stop lying to the public
I din know Jack hails from Windsor, Ont. My birth place! He apparently moved across the river to a suburb of Detoilet! Gotta follow that $$$ I guess!
You’re a goddamn liar

Goodness he’s even more handsome as time has passed!
HES INCREDIBLE!! HASNT LOST IT.
I've Jack Scott play twice and both times it was great. Never to be forgotten. He was great to see and talk with. He will be missed.😢🎉🎉🎉❤
Jack Scott is really fantastic ....what more I can say : just listen to him again and again !
I don't know? What more you can say? L0L
This is a timeless song delivered perfectly. ❤️❤️❤️
Underappreciated and remembered talent. Excellent vocal retention into his sixties, it seems😎🐈

I definitely miss him.
Me too. I saw him perform annually at the Warren, Michigan Birthday Bash. My friend from high school played in his band during the 80s.

His voice is pure 1950's americana, inimitable, irreplaceable, done a rare track called insane, still my favourite after all these years
Legend
Incredible! I had only heard the Sonny James version. I'd hate to have to live on the difference.
He didn't miss a beat.Great.
Jack still has it. The voice still sounds the same.
😊I love this singer
Vilken kanonversion❤❤❤
Jack Scott es realmente un milagro musical, su voz está igual que en los 50/60s, y su composición es excelente.
♥♥♥♥👍👍
nice song.
My husband & my song
Should have used The Chantones his normal backing vocal group
😢
I realize that he wrote it and was first to record the song but Johnny Lee's version is my favorite.
Boomers ain't so bad after all.
