I'm just so proud of Katrina here! Mind you guys me pinagdadaanan pa yung tao after her gig in MusicHall her sister died and she has to prepare for this segment pa. Such a trooper! Tama na kanegahan ng iba dyan. As I always say, if you don't have anything nice to say keep it to yourself na lang. To each his own naman di naman lahat makakaappreciate ng "Birit" as others would say "sigaw". I may not agree with it but I respect it.

Going back here because of the death of Katrina's husband few days ago and I remember that before she perform here ,her sister passed away (the same day of this performance) I love you my Katrina Velarde more success in life . Lagi kita ipagdarasal❤️

Laarni's classical training is very evident in this performance. She has a very controlled vibrato even in the highest notes. Amazing. Katrina on the other hand is very raw and powerful, some notes were shaky because her performance was overflowing with emotions! Kudos to both singers!

Equally matched pero different styles. Katrina sings with full chest voice - yung birit nya is very powerful yet sounds just like her speaking voice. Her high notes don’t sound rounded and nasal meaning she really has the pipes to belt out.
Laarni on the other hand sings with mixed technique similar with the way people who are trained in choir and classical music sing. Her range is very wide and she appears to be very comfortable in the upper range because she can easily shift to head tones.
If I may, I’d say their singing techniques are somewhat similar to Regine (Kat) and Lani (Laarni). No doubt that they can sing and boy can they sing very well.
There’s no competition over here, just a good showdown done tastefully for the benefit of the audience. Good job ABSCBN!

Katrina won this battle hands down. Her epic and emotional rendition connected well with the viewers. Her range was unbelievable sustaining it akin to Regine's style. Laarni was good but Kat crushed her this time. Given the comments here, Kat impressed everyone!
Laarni lozada is also a great player on this showdown both of them are great they have different timbre and a style of singing!!! Laarni sounds so classical while Katrina velarde sounds so pop, both of them showed off unique singing ability!!!
