I had an elderly lady named Madge Touhy (R.I.P.) that moved in next door to my family’s home. She was a “Newfie”, from Newfoundland. She had so many stories and loved to tell them and cook. I was in my 20’s and she was in her 80’s. She was such a character and I’d frequent her home (with pink carpet she disdained, but it was that way from the prior homeowner’s wife’s liking lol). Anyway, she taught me a few things and made great homemade soups and frosted chocolate cakes with a buttery vanilla frosting. I considered her like my second mom, best friend and surrogate grandmother lol. She once told me I reminded her of her only daughter (she had three or four sons).
Cajun is the”Best” savory food🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉 Volcano cake yummy 😋 Everything looks delicious 😋 Paula I was raised on Hellmans mayonnaise. I tried “Dukes” mayonnaise it is all I use today. Dukes is delicious and it’s the only mayonnaise that has no sugar in it ❤❤❤❤❤

I haven’t had vegetable oil in my home in over 15 years. Butter and applesauce are great substitutes.
