Train Operators were striking between Leytonstone - Epping / Hainault via Newb PK due to 8 drivers being requested to move from Hainault depot to Earl's Court on the District line, as there are too many drivers on the Central, which means some are being paid to sit around and may not have to work a shift. That's what the strikes have been about.

The central, Jubilee and Victoria lines are very loud in the eastern part of the network
This train has some extra noise though. Does this occur normally or something else is affecting it?
I believe it's the rails.
LondonTransportFanatic maybe the tunnel walls are making it echo.possibly the camera
the central line is always noisy
Every time
It gets noisy when it turns normally, it’s never really that noisy when I get on it
The central, Jubilee Northern Piccadilly and Victoria lines are very loud in the eastern Night
Imagine hearing central line train noises from cameras to real life
Do these trains have manual driver train control because he train seemed a bit confused when passing the two closed stations. It nearly came to a stop
Miles Campbell They do, but the trains usually run on Automatic Train Operation
Miles Campbell sometimes the train has to go 5mph
They usually have to go 5-10mph
Veryyyyy slow
They usually have to go slower when passing stations for safety reasons
Why 2 stations of Central line were closed by special strike?
London Transport Fantastic
Mile End and Bethnal Green was closed because of a Strike. There was no staff at those stations.
LondonTransportFanatic Ok, Thanks!
I wondered why do they have to strike

What does it mean by strike?
Strike is basically a closure IN THIS CONTEXT.
Its when workers refuse to work for reasons to try and disrupt service so they get what they want.
How often do these strikes occur?
Very rarely
Every trip they never go
Is this the central line express?
Alex The railfan no. Just on this occasion a strike was going on so mile end and Bethnal Green were closed.
