A prophet or caliph is chosen by Allah through the best seeds and is educated from childhood and guided under the supervision of a prophet or pious person. For example the Prophet Samuel appointed the Prophet David as caliph which is implied in the Bible. Of the many companions of the prophet Muhammad, only Sayyidina Ali had these criteria because from childhood to adulthood he was under the guidance of the Prophet Muhammad. The others are all converts(mualaf), former idol worshipers, former immoral.
Allah never chose a prophet or caliph from people who used to be idol worshipers and former sinners. Abubakar umar and usman they are not worthy of being called the caliphs of Islamic leaders because their criteria are not in accordance with the Prophet David who was chosen by Allah in Alquran sad 26
