That’s not how science works. Many people can reach the same conclusion in a nearly similar time period. For example, Bohr was a student of Rutherford. He took Rutherford’s atomic model as it is and explained it in his own way both are famous as Rutherford atomic model and Bohr atomic model. Nobody in physics community considered it as Bohr copies Rutherford.

Salam published papers in 1957 and 1958 (before Glashow’s 1961 paper) and continued publishing including the one that he published three years after Glashow in 1964. For understanding the real story, you have to go and read the papers but I am not sure what's your area of expertise is.
