I tied a red, white, and blue fly and would love to try it out, I was in a small creek yesterday and the air temp was 92 but the creek temp was 54-55 all I caught was one brook trout the creek was 3-4 feet wide with a heavy overhang That area is sure beautiful too

Wow!! Great footage of one of my all-time favorites rivers from years past(approx. 40 years) We used to have 20-30 fish days there and rainbows were more prevalent as well ,but the big browns ruled. This river was taught to me from none other than Francis Betters, miss stopping in to see him before and after fishing the river.. this river has many being large holdovers, android natural reproduction, so it was great to see that your perseverance, yet again, paid off in hooking and landing that nice brownie ! That fish really looked like a wild stream born brown!! Congrats! . And at the bell ,as you were winding down and ready to hit the road. But….man, that wicked huge slammer you had on briefly ,rolled and boiled enough to show his size. You know better than anyone what a big bruin looks and feels like even at that distance. Go back as soon as you can ,he`ll be there , one smart fish ,but I have confidence you'll fool him.

Here's another idea , a solo self float of the mainstem Delaware, Shehawken to Buckingham accesses. It's only 5 miles, but plenty of room and a laughably easy float. Stash canoe or Kayak at Shehawken, drive downstream with a MT bike or moped. Park Car, ride bike up to boat, chain up bike, float, then load boat on car, drive back upstream to pick up the bike. I had an amazing time, pods of big rainbows gently sipping size 18 olives. And no ego battles with snarky guides.

A truly amazing river. I only fished it once though. Perfect weather today OMG. Oh, But nooo, I'm huffing a huge salad and fishing vicariously through some kid on You Tube. They released a ton of water on the Farmy so maybe that will douche all the snot off the rocks so I won't fall down anymore. If you come back here and get tired of the (wait for it...) mental retardation , and haven't done so yet, check out Sandy Brook off Sandy Brook Road , left turn off RT 8 just above the weird sawmill-junkyard. There might be enough water in it to be interesting. It's gorgeous , and could be included in your small stream adventures. It has tons of sculpins, according to a DEP dude , so you can mindlessly hurl muddlers. It's a boulder-workout stream, so bring extra slices to munch on. Hmm, I wonder how long a drive to Au Sable versus the Farmy from Albany...

@@DownstreamDownrange Yeah I've been more interested in foraging and mushrooming lately. Sandy Brook drains from a swamp way up in MA and it's super clean. It HAS to have some wild browns in it, and springs for cold relief. Deep pools, boulders, Bigfoots, rattlesnakes. Various mill dam ruins. 10 minutes from Riverton. Leadmine Brook is also on my radar. Access near the famous haunted cemetery lol. The Blue Lady!
