I have a small lot of short-scale electric guitars, and I just found one of these on eBay used (just the guitar, which is how I've found each one). As someone who has been playing a 24.75 scale Japanese Fender Strat (80's) for 20 years, I think the smaller body and shorter neck are great! My fingers are short. I learned on a 3/4 size classical when I was 15 - a long time ago. The neck on my 80's Strat is about as thin as the one on the 24", just with more space in between frets. I learned to tune with a pitch pipe, but I love electronic tuners. For anyone considering this package - whether for a kid or for a small-handed adult - I highly recommend this great-playing smaller guitar with nice sounding pickups, this little amp, and all the things that come with it - it's a really good value. I've worked in a couple of Music Stores, and own a bunch of different brands of varying-size axes.
If this guitar is like the SE "Strat" from the early 2000's (i.e. with a decent neck and a full thickness body) then the new players are in for a treat. I got one just like this as my first guitar and it's still with me today! It makes a fantastic modding platform!

how long did it take to come
I'm thinking about buying this but I am leery about the amp. Is it good quality?
I have this kit in a 2010, same color, great guitar. I set the bridge to stiff action low, pick-ups set just below ghost tone. Holds tune for days.
Right on 🎸🎶😎

😂 haha
I've worked in a couple of Music Stores, and own a bunch of different brands of varying-size axes.
literally only a few millimetres apart in fret width. it's not a "short scale" it's barely fucking noticeable
My parents got a the kit from late 2007 or 2008 so my pack is a little different. Glad to see improvements overall.
I got this for Christmas and I am so excited to start playing 🎸❤️😍
Fender, make demo of new Squier Classic Vibe 50 Teles. Its your Squier salesman stronghold
Getting a guitar for my birthday been wanting to learn for years 💪 super hyped
Ahhh yesss, been playing for many years, but always come here to see how my starting pack looks lol
Perfection he didn't even stutter once straight to the point so smooth man
7:41 distortion mode
7:32 neck
7:23 middle + neck
7:11 bridge + middle
7:17 middle
7:00 bridge
Thank you!! :)
I have a telecaster ultra now (finally), but I have to admit squier is the best beginner guitar ever.
If this guitar is like the SE "Strat" from the early 2000's (i.e. with a decent neck and a full thickness body) then the new players are in for a treat. I got one just like this as my first guitar and it's still with me today! It makes a fantastic modding platform!
Yeah, I got one and Mexican parts drop in like a breeze
I never noticed him talk about a power cable, it comes with one, right?
It does
@@5.7tenoch what a relief
I love how his face looks like he is bracing for impact when tuning the high E string
That corny palm muted chugging tone at 7:45 takes me back
The fact that he doesn’y even flinch while tuning the guitar strings is amazing.
i am thinking of buying a guitar after i make enough money to buy it and this video really helped me know what to expect when i get the guitar so thank you .
Nice colors, I love rosewood black Fenders/Squiers. Tone is what it is but this guitar is still nice for practicing.
This is not Rosewood but a Pau Ferro, probably. There is a good chance, at least.
That gloss black colour is just sick ❤️
Ahhhhh yesss, my first guitar ever 😭🤗
I started off on a bullet strat, in black, like that! Good instruments for beginners
That is the exact pack I started with. Same color, same everything😀😁
Nico Kanakos Id bought the sunburst colour since it’s my favourite by far
I have one of these and it's old, looks new still. Im a first time player tho. I never knew that you could take the tremolo off! You don't know how happy I am😆
I'm looking to buy my first guitar and everyone recommends this one but they also say the amp is trash, yet no one is suggesting a better one in the same price range.
If I get this, I’ll just use it until I can buy a better amp. I love the way this guitar looks, the rosewood and black goes great together.
@@tyrantula767 yeah I might just do the same thing
@@tyrantula767 my personal fav colour is the hss olympic white, imma go with it
@@mazenallaithi my first guitar will probably be a classic nylon. I like Spanish style guitar more.
@@tyrantula767 that's cool too, to each their own dude
i'm sure you're gonna rock no matter what color! good luck
I bought a bullet alone that has a top load bridge. I moded it in a variety of ways and I still love it. And I am still a beginner.
What's the difference between the Squier in this package vs the Affinity SSS?
Thanks very cool for watching
i loved when he said "this is your nut"
I bought a fender player awhile back, mainly for a dark blue burst line finish, still love the sound. This, however is not a normal squire strat, because mine has more unnecessary pickup noise than any guitar I’ve ever played
Why am i watching this for the fourth time?
Edit: This is the 20th time i watch this. Wtf
Just a normal Billie's fan I put a like but your Billie eiiiiglish fan and not Billie joe Armstrong (Green Day) disappointed
@@ivoriviera8792 actually, i love green day as much i love Billie Eilish
This was my first ever guitar. It was an amazing friend but has picked up a lot of dust every since i got a jackson.
I can feel his face when he was tuning the high E string
the end was so clean, MY GOD
what type of person are you?
do you plug in your guitar then turn the amp on or
do you turn on the amp and the plug in the guitar
Plug In Guitar than turn on amp
Amp, then guitar, just because it takes a while for the tubes to heat up.
John Dreyer you are a rockstar and I am getting the same guitar so you helped me understand.
Anyone else watch this even if they have an American Fender?
I just did and I have an ultra lol
Mexican fender squad
@@todorkerev1707 MIM Strat crew represent! I'm feeling love for Squier cuz I'm wanting one of their basses.
Yes and I have 3 American made Strats of different types. I'm watching this because I'm interested in the package. I remember my beginner days, that's why I'm interested to see what beginners are getting and I think they have a very good deal.
Yes but I want that feeling that I am eleven years old again and they buy me a squier ahahaha
That’s the exact same electric guitar I have and play. I love it!
7:25 bro how do you get that tone i cant get my squire to sound like that for the life of me and i have the same exact amp
Those picks are perfect for any songs not too hard not too soft
