They used one game from the beginning of the year in which he was trying to carry the defense to say “this is who he is.”

They did the only difference for Jayden, he rushed for a 1,000 yards on the season, when he didn't need to behind a stout o-line and 2 top 20 WRs, and took a lot of unnecessary hits given his frame.

As much as I love Belichick, as soon as he said Jayden needs to learn how to stay in the pocket, I was like, thank God we didn't get him as a coach, that's why Cam Newton didn't make it with him. HTTR
What he's saying is true and it's alarming especially given the hits he's taken in college and rushing over a 1,000 yards when he didn't need to behind an stout o-line and 2 top 20 WRs.
And as for Cam Newton he was done by the time he signed with the Patriots, went back to Carolina on his last leg and looked worse. All those years took a toll as he fazed out of the league.

The game has changed long time ago, it's so rare to have a good OL for the whole year, the defense became lighter and faster, only a mobile quarterback can survive nowadays, and Cam was destroyed by our drama queen Rivera for the same reasons I mentioned, we have to have a duel threat quarterback, otherwise you can't do it. HTTR
@@lamassu4100 no SB team in NFL history has won with a mobile QB that likes to scramble as much as Jayden. I hope they don't ruin him like RG3.

I rewatched the video and I was keying off of what Bellcheck had said. It is interesting to watch the game footage he had - Jayden has improved a lot! But nobody could see (especially a jaded 50 year skins fan that has seen dozens of QB busts in Washington) the historic rise and accuracy of JD5. He’s exceeded any reasonable expectation one could have of any rookie. I don’t see any flaws in his game now. If I were to nitpick his size/frame still worries me a little.

Like Belichick said, he'll have to learn to stay in the pocket. It has been proven the NFL is not the place to learn this. The hits QB's take during this process is destructive to the QB's body, puts tremendous pressure on the O-line and turns the offense into a project rather than a weapon capable of executing with precision to get the most out of each position. How did RG3 work out? Case closed. If haven't learned to read defense and pass out of the pocket your not ready for the NFL. You should be because Bill highlighted the glaring problems with him. Washington is definitely going to be looking for another quarterback in 3 years. Heisman Trophy QBs are almost never stand out franchise QBs, they've pretty much all been low tier starting QBs for bad teams. Just look at Marcus Mariota who is now the other Commanders QB, he won the Heisman in 2014.
