Blind is he who hates his brother
Which Jesus are we following? The Jesus who healed the sick, freed the demon-possessed from evil forces, multiplied bread, walked on water, or the Jesus who raised the cross in Jerusalem? There is a big difference in this approach, because we expect mighty works from God, but we run away from the path of the cross and try to create other gods.
