The main reason was doge got shifted from outside the govt dept to inside. And legally Vivek couldn't run for political office and be in doge at d same time if it was gonna be a body within d govt
It's so funny to see this now, after DOGE has taken off like a shot, when Vivek knows what's coming, but can't say. I wonder if he could have gotten away with saying something tantalizing like, "Let me put it this way: what do you think is in the government's browser history and saved to its hard drive? It's like that. Yeah." In hindsight, Elon probably laid out his plans, and Vivek knew it would not only be gangbusters, but something he really wasn't any help with. But I'll bet he helped a lot with suggestions for where to look. And yeah, he's a much greater asset taking charge and running shit somewhere in politics.
Vivek's approach seems like it would be a very long and tedious process. It might take decades/generations to fix it that way. Elon just wants to make things running efficient now.
Yep, and the fact that it is designed to work in exactly that way is a total and complete coincidence. Further, any resemblance to the current system which works in exactly the same way is also purely coincidental.
Breaks my heart Vivek is not in this administration. Trump should’ve given him a MUCH higher post then DOGE with Elon. But Elon has become the ‘favored son’. He ( I believe) is becoming way to powerful a bug in Trumps ear. Yes Vivek will be a great Gov, but he’s being wasted right now
Looks like there are lot of bots hired by someone to bad mouth Vivek. Vivek clearly explained what happened and with examples but still people are calling him names.
Na more like racist people who are quite blatant being racist towards Indians, because there are no repercussions for racism against Indians. And the extreme right hates Hindus and his skin color, that's why they don't like him. They were okay as long as a brown Indian was fighting and bending his knees for Trump but as soon as they got what their president and Vivek started looking out for his future as well, racists are unable to digest that and contain their hatred.
Wasn’t Vivek the one who read that 250 or so pages of congress budget proposal to see exactly what was propose to let people know how ridiculous some of the requests were? No one else was able to read such dense proposals in such short time and catch all the red flags.
Vivek is still going to help them out and give them ideas. If you like Vivek, you should be happy for him. He wants to run for governor. So, this should be good news.
yeah I'm really disappointed he just took a bow from that. I feel is tricked the people with this one, he said he would do it and hasn't. definitely lost trust in him, and feel he might be more of a alesman than someone that's able to put the hard work in for the country.
@@megowopwop8545I don't think he tricked us. He's being very diplomatic and careful here, but you could see early on, after Elon came on the scene, that Vivek was kind of pushed aside. I think he and Elon had some differences of opinion and Trump started going more with Elon.
Vivek can go get experience in governing so he can run for President or even Vance VP. I liked the idea of him working in DOGE because it’s a big job. But there’s a lot to do everywhere.
True numbers on remote work. The federal government employed 2.28 million civilian personnel. • Of these 2.28 million personnel, the majority - 1.2 million or 54% - worked fully on-site, as their jobs require them to be physically present during all working hours. • The remaining 1.1 million or 46.4% of civilian personnel were telework-eligible. • Of the total 2.28 million personnel, 228 thousand or 10% of civilian personnel were in remote positions where there was no expectation that they worked in-person on any regular or recurring basis. • Among all federal employees, excluding remote workers that do not have a work-site to report to, 79.4% of regular, working hours were spent in-person. • Among the subset of federal workers that are telework-eligible, excluding remote workers, 61.2% of regular, working hours were spent in-person. While these averages represent a government-wide snapshot of time spent in-person as opposed to telework, there is significant variation agency-to-agency in their progress towards OMB’s goal of 50% of time spent in-person among teleworkers
Wish VIVEK would stay ! And offer his eagle eye from his own angle ! (The problems are so enormous that’s there room for ALL) Believing the elected office route is a bit premature for VR ~
Why!? Couldn't Elon handle the tech side and vivek handle the legislative side together but separate? If that makes sense? Hope it made sense on what I'm saying & meaning.
So the main issue was dat doge moved from outside the govt to inside. And legally it wasn't possible for Vivek to run for political office while being in doge if it was gonna be intra govt body. Vivek talked about this. The law is called hatchet
I was a HUGE fan of Vivek; he was my favorite presidential candidate. However, I’ve heard some shady ass stuff about him since then. Not sure what to think.
Respect for Vivek not speaking anymore than he should and being honest about it, love the press tho by the flagrant crew, don’t ever let up for anyone!
It is the nature of Bureaucracy to grow in terms of regulations and personnel needed to enforce them. To be effective there has to be a constant pruning process
Correct, but who does the pruning and by what function or method? Is there an elected branch of government needed to oversee and limit growth in programs? Is it by local initiatives and referendums that by majority becomes law after vote?
@mpowe123 Good questions to discuss over a bottle of rum. Maybe every government should have a DOGE like body to perform annual reviews and a permanent anti corruption investigative body overseeing all departments. Rewards for every prosecution. Growth in regulations could be limited by law. Or based on a rule like one new regulation for every 2 or 3 cut
Indeed, and that is of far greater importance than following through on his promise to help reform wasteful government spending and root out corruption.! Right...?
No way ohio is gonna let him get elected governor. This was just a lollipop hope given by trump to him to get him out of doge. His facial expression says it all.
Vivek had a town hall last summer in Ohio after Trump mentioned a city where the Haitians were eating people's pets. In that town hall meeting - which you should be able to find on Vivek's channel, the citizens who attended asked him to run for Governor. He responded that he would think about it. So, President Trump wasn't the author of it. Just so you know.
@@JustmeJoy7 Town Hall you say? Interesting. And people said stuff... even more interesting. I seem to recall events like that being held by Biden and Kamala. They were interesting, as well.
Vivek is thinking bigger picture and long term. Doge is happening with or without him. He can jump back in to his original focus, and will make bigger moves.
I don’t understand the criticism toward Vivek, especially since he comes across as a smart and capable individual. I personally believe some of the negativity is rooted in racial bias. Historically, America has had a pattern of discrimination against various racial and ethnic groups, including Black, Asian, Mexican, Muslims, Koreans, South Americans, Russians, Germans, Irish, Italian and now Indian communities. My grandfather, who is 80, believes that younger generations today are too distracted by social media, like TikTok, and aren’t as focused on hard work. He sees this as a reason why intelligent and hardworking individuals, particularly Indians are rising in prominence, much like Jewish immigrants did in previous generations. Similarly, Israelis have made significant strides in various industries over the past few decades. The key difference, he argues, is that race still plays a role in how people perceive success. Historically, we’ve seen similar patterns. In the late 19th and early 20th centuries, Irish and Italian immigrants faced severe discrimination despite their strong work ethic and contributions to American society. Chinese immigrants, who played a crucial role in building the Transcontinental Railroad, were met with exclusion laws and hostility. Jewish immigrants, despite excelling in finance, medicine, and academia, faced barriers in higher education and employment. Over time, many of these groups overcame discrimination and became integral to American success, but the initial backlash was often fueled by racial and cultural biases. It’s possible that some of the criticism toward Vivek is based on his political views, but it’s also worth considering whether racial prejudice still influences public perception in subtle ways.
@@ad8447this shows your lack of historical knowledge, irish, italians have been discriminated against all throughout in American history, same with jews.
whatchya talking about? Look at the US gov. Its filled with jooz, much more compared to the size of the jooish population. and anyways, any "success" the israelis have is due to the american tax payer. Not only that, the Indian situation is very different compared to pretty much any ethnic group. They come from a large country, that is quite stable and wealthy.
Why cant both legislative and tech both work at the same time? does not sound right. Also, in private companies you let experts create rules, processes to do things. For e.g. an accountatnt who creates a customised excel sheet for themselves. This happens all the time, what's so special if this happens in government. I dont understand.
@ they won’t do that if they give them the power. When was the last time you ever seen congress call in an ABC agency except last year? They don’t even have authority and congress doesn’t want to do its job.
I literally just watched a video with Vivek and Elon. Vivek is still helping Elon although he does have ambitions of running for governor. Elon is going to help him with that as well and they are going to work in tandem together to help President Trump keep the House and the Senate. They were joking around and laughing there's no bad blood between them. They're fine.
He said it is because he went into DOGE wanting to deregulate the bureaucratic regulatory programs (the same ones that are being dismantled right now) through legislative means by leveraging the constitution. But after setting up some of the ground work with Elon and Trump and having those conversations they all collectively realized his method would take too long, and also wouldn't necessarily be needed where Elon would be doing it all manually with tech instead of going through congress and such. Essentially he wasn't good fit for that role. Trump and his administration do not intend to fight bureaucracy with more bureaucracy. Viveks skills and talents will be placed elsewhere to support the GOP agenda through other means.
Gotta read in between the lines towards the end, he’s not comfortable with Elon approach… and that’s a red flag…. Big Elon fan here however it seems like a lot of criticism lately to how close to the sun he’s getting, perhaps overstepping and too “powerful” power corrupts, and we will never see the full inner workings. Maybe it’s exactly who we need to avoid hitting the iceberg through desperate measures
Not only that, he also has political aspirations and the way doge is getting things done could hurt his image among certain voters. Where Elon doesn't care if people like him or not. Tbh, he's probably still involved, just not publicly.
@cjwangchong the real answer is he really believed them and drank the kool-aid. When he found out it was the most massive grift of all time, he couldn't do it in good conscience.
Since, Elon spent a lot of money, president Trump has to obey him. But, if Elon is doing this for his benefits, president Trump will dump Elon and go back to Vivek's policy.
Need to obey? He does not need to do anything that he does not agree to himself but he put Elon where he is because maybe he think he knows what he is doing and seems that he also reports about what he discovers directly to Trump.
Vivek is aiming for a career in politics. It is smart for him to run for governor and then President one day. He can't get his hands dirty with DOGE but can still help behind the scenes.

Vivek is the future
Vivek's approach seems like it would be a very long and tedious process. It might take decades/generations to fix it that way. Elon just wants to make things running efficient now.
Yep, and the fact that it is designed to work in exactly that way is a total and complete coincidence. Further, any resemblance to the current system which works in exactly the same way is also purely coincidental.
i was more optimistic because Vivek was in DOGE ngl but they are still killing it!
Vivek is smartest guy in the room.
In any room.
That’s pushing it, but ok. He’s got his flaws just like everyone else.
That's not saying much listening to the guys in that room, but Vivek is definitely intelligent.
In this room? Well that's not really impressive if u look at the ppl in the room
@ in any room. He has made your favorite Dem look stupid daily.
Stupid people fall for it. Make no mistake, vivek is one of the best assets of the maga movement.
I just scrolled through 6-8 finger swipes of comments all praising him? Wonder if the algorithm displays comments in a diff order for diff people?
@Cold_Tides same here bro. Is this dude d only one who's getting negative comments. I've hardly seen any
Wasn’t Vivek the one who read that 250 or so pages of congress budget proposal to see exactly what was propose to let people know how ridiculous some of the requests were? No one else was able to read such dense proposals in such short time and catch all the red flags.
They used AI
This is devastating news.
This constitutional reform of our government is the only hope I had
Vivek is still going to help them out and give them ideas. If you like Vivek, you should be happy for him. He wants to run for governor. So, this should be good news.
yeah I'm really disappointed he just took a bow from that. I feel is tricked the people with this one, he said he would do it and hasn't. definitely lost trust in him, and feel he might be more of a alesman than someone that's able to put the hard work in for the country.
@@megowopwop8545It’s ok. Elon is killing it with DOGE.
@@megowopwop8545I don't think he tricked us. He's being very diplomatic and careful here, but you could see early on, after Elon came on the scene, that Vivek was kind of pushed aside. I think he and Elon had some differences of opinion and Trump started going more with Elon.
@@megowopwop8545 His ambition shines through. If he can't be in charge, he will grab his toys and go home. You are dead on, totally a Trojan Horse.
You must be a federal worker since what you say is a lie.
Wish VIVEK would stay ! And offer his eagle eye from his own angle ! (The problems are so enormous that’s there room for ALL)
Believing the elected office route is a bit premature for VR ~
0:12 he didn't give you a soliloquy, he gave you a monologue. Don't use words you don't understand.
That is the right word.
Soliloquy:
an act of speaking one's thoughts aloud when by oneself or regardless of any hearers
Such sweet instant karma. Thanks for putting yourself on display.
You tell him man... This is exactly why we watch you instead of him. You got him good. So good. 😅
Love Vivek! He's so much smarter than just about anyone that he sits down with lol. I've never see him stumble in any way when talking with anyone
@ashwinpawar5325 oh ok 👍 thxs I get it. Appreciate it.
Vivek will make a great governor
Vivek is awesome.
How can anyone NOT Like Vivek
Umm idk if u have been on X lately but for starters he's Indian
I admire Andrew's thirst for knowledge.
😂😂😂
Give him a handy already
I was a HUGE fan of Vivek; he was my favorite presidential candidate. However, I’ve heard some shady ass stuff about him since then. Not sure what to think.
I think Vivek saw an easier path to presidency by doing his own thing after getting Trump’s support.
Vivek is only out for Vivek.
“We’re probably reaching the outer bounds of what I’m able to talk about”😅 got it
Respect for Vivek not speaking anymore than he should and being honest about it, love the press tho by the flagrant crew, don’t ever let up for anyone!
vivek for the next US president!!
It's a good thing Vivek stepped back from now because Doge is getting way to much hate and it would impact his run for governor
Indeed, and that is of far greater importance than following through on his promise to help reform wasteful government spending and root out corruption.! Right...?
Wow.. thats a class in democracy and regulations... vivek is living up yo the meaning of his name
The people had a poll a few months ago, 40% wanted him as governor even before he thought to consider it.
I think he’s not for all of the AI technologies, and I agree with Vivek!
Vivek will be the most exceptional president in history
I thought Irish Italian and Jewish are white adjacent. So who exactly is discriminating against them?
People hate nerds, it’s that simple.
More specifically americans are R as fuck @@HarryMackIsAnAlien
@@ad8447this shows your lack of historical knowledge, irish, italians have been discriminated against all throughout in American history, same with jews.
whatchya talking about? Look at the US gov. Its filled with jooz, much more compared to the size of the jooish population. and anyways, any "success" the israelis have is due to the american tax payer. Not only that, the Indian situation is very different compared to pretty much any ethnic group. They come from a large country, that is quite stable and wealthy.
Vance / Vivek 2028
He said a lot of good things, as always, but he didn't answer the question. "Left because a technology driven approach." Vague.
Gotta love and respect Vivek
Why cant both legislative and tech both work at the same time? does not sound right. Also, in private companies you let experts create rules, processes to do things. For e.g. an accountatnt who creates a customised excel sheet for themselves. This happens all the time, what's so special if this happens in government. I dont understand.
How are people watching this? The guy doesn’t let the guests speak, keeps interrupting like a 3 year old
He is either running for congress or senate next year
Ohio governor?
I hope Vivek runs for prez again cuz he def has my vote
Losing all regulations is gonna cost hitting standards met. They need a balance
Not all regulations lol But the our elected officials aka congress should be making the laws not ABC agencies that have no oversight basically
@@happ13eI say let the abc agencies do it. If there is an issue congress can simply overturn it.
@ they won’t do that if they give them the power. When was the last time you ever seen congress call in an ABC agency except last year? They don’t even have authority and congress doesn’t want to do its job.
you know.... if you'd let Vivek answer without interrupting him, he could get a complete point out and answer your questions.
These comments are starting to get weird. If you really a fan, you would know Andrew will speak to anyone.
8:16 into 11 minutes still no idea wtf he's not in DOGE
Same. Politician answer. It seems he's trying to hide the real reasons.
@cjwangchong the real answer is he really believed them and drank the kool-aid. When he found out it was the most massive grift of all time, he couldn't do it in good conscience.
I learned more about Vivek in 10 minutes here than in every single mainstream media debate this far
Lobe Vivek, love Elon and I love Trump; he is not telling the full truth. Something's missing here whay happened behind the scenes.
looking forward to watching what Vivek does!!!! and listen closely!!
This host interrupts way too often for this to be enjoyable viewing.
Challenge for Schulz to not interrupt the guest every 2 seconds level Impossible 🤦🏽♂️
I knew vivek will be boot out cause he's not seen as American and he's too honest even trump and Elon are not clean
Elon is not American either... Just saying
@@charityscreams5366he does however look a lot like 'Americans'

I believe that the dude with the sharp poon on the back of his head is learning the most from Vivek, he's representing sharpness and that's the whole idea of if you advertise sharpness you will do much better than those that don't even if someone calls you a poon head, that doesn't bother him a bit, and you noticed that Vivek didn't condem him one bit for promoting his personal poon, not even the remotest teeny tiny bit.

Excellent, great, incredible and I liked it!
‘Knock, knock’
“Hello there, new American plutocracy! It’s me, Vivek. May I come in?”
“Nope.”
LET THE MAN TALK!!! That was frustrating to listen/ watch. On a side note it seems to me that someone as sharp and genuine as Vivek never really should have been in Dodge. Elon pushed him out, making him irrelevant-he doesn’t strike me as the type who likes sharing the spotlight. Glad Vivek walked away. He’s one of a kind and should continue boldly carving his own path.

Vivek already did his job, I promise you that his job was one of the hiring, now he is focus on running for senate or gubernatorial
"Leaving" 😂😂 His ass was shown the door the moment he was no longer useful
