Saddle with styrofoam
1 Large bunch of flowers
2 bushes of ferns
1 small bunch of flowers
2.5 in ribbon 10 yard roll
Floral picks
Hot Glue
Antique Wire

Didn't realize that this was 6 yrs old; however, I always enjoy your videos. In fact, you're the one that got me into wreath making. You are blessed to have that training voice that put that interest in learning how to. This week must have been a replay of cemetery saddle wreath, everybody had their up as well. So happy to find this video. I've been wanting to do one of these arrangements for a long time for my parents tomb stone. They were very special parents who gave me so much. They adopted me when I was 6 from an orphanage. I feel so very fortunate. My mom taught me the love of flowers. She grew everything on our farm when I was coming up. She would love this. Thanks for sharing.

Hello, there Kathy and welcome. I am so glad you found my channel. I put it on a floral stick but you could also hot glue and glued it to the foam and pin it down with floral pins. Same here it is beautiful, but my Styrofoam is not connected to the saddle so may just hot glue it and hope it works, for my grandparents also.

This is really pretty! We don't put a lot bows on them down here. I don't know why. Maybe it's the best and humidity on the Texas Gulf Coast. There're bows on flower arrangements but not so much in saddles or even casket blankets unless they're small.. They're prettier with bows!

That is so very beautiful. My daughter is in a mausoleum we always hand make her bouquets. Makes me wish there was something i could put one of these on. You are so very talented.

I would wire and glue the bow to the stick first and then stick it into the floral foam. Beautiful colors and thank you for the instruction. I wish my Father's cemetery allowed headstones but they don't, only grave markers.

Up in Jersey we call that a grave blanket. Just one question are you going to bend the wire on the bottom back out? The body of the blanket is made from pine branches .

This is gorgeous! I've seen those saddles in HL and have wondered if they could also be used on a mailbox? Also, is that weather proof ribbon? Just wondered how long it would hold up in elements.
Hey Kristen thank you yes it will hold up very well and yes you can use the saddle on a mailbox. Do you remember the mailbox swag i made, It was on my mailbox for 6 weeks and looks exactly the same. These materials are made for weather. The only thing is if you are going to use mesh in the hot summer spray it to preserve the color.
Kristin, thank you. Yes, that is where I got it from. It probably could as you could see how I have bend it, now about the holding up to its elements it all depends on the weather and where its placed. The ribbon is made for inside and outdoors as well. Thank you.
