I must say that there are interviews that send Rob swimming, otter-like, through streams of nostalgia. No pretense. No interested onlooker [which, in itself, is a lovely vehicle for introducing the audience to a guest's oeuvre]. But engaged in memory, in the moment. Joyously 'being back there again'. This was one of those. Cheers! 😊
Brilliant interview, very funny and informative, Doon growing up in Upper Largo in Fife was a surprise from Wikipedia, my Uncle and Aunt lived there all their lives.
I never knew she came from Manchester. I always thought Doon was Scottish! She did the scottish so well! Smack the Pony was such a hot show. The humour was just great. Sad she packed up smoking, the vapes cause the hacking cough I think.
Seeing Doon in anything makes me want to binge the 'Beast' sitcom. I've had the DVD's of that for years. That was a stellar cast for something that only lasted for 2 series/12 episodes? Smack the Pony was all right. But very much hit and miss in my opinion.
Put the "full length longer version" on here.. this is where people get podcasts. You're literally creating more work for yourself editing it down.. I wonder why
Loved Doon's character in 'Two Doors Down'

We need a second episode with Doon
My niece has just turned 18 and my sister named her Doone. This wonderful lady is one of the reasons she loved the name and chose it.
Why did she wait until she was 18?
Ah, lovely Doon and her double entendre 😁💖
She's brilliant ! I'll never forget the "just a few whisps" sketch from Smack the Pony 🤣
When you watch Doon in Two doors down and Toast of London you have to remind yourself that this is the same person.
"Tell them to get me a fourty year old scorcher, and do use that word."
Read Doon’s Lady Parts, loved it

I'm glad it extended beyond the planned ending. The Rhea Pearlman/Danny DeVito stacking, the fit smoker...hilarious!
Rob certainly met his match with Doon. Great fun. When is the extended 2 hour version?
I have not seen Doon yet so this is an introduction to her for me,what a lovely lady
Fantastic.
Cracking episode. Thanks neighbour.
I must agree that Tinseltown was a damp squib compared to classic Toast - but I'd happily watch Doon in any old shite.
Rob’s transformation into Parky is almost complete
😂😂😂
Rob you and Doon must do an episode 2. This was really getting going yet missed so much. I want to hear about ‘Two Doors Down’.
"It's just a few wisps!"
....just Brilliant,.both of you 😅
Loved that!
Brilliantly funny actress. I remember her running along a beach with the bottom of her swimsuit full of sand. Was that in Smack the Pony?
I loved this 💜
She was so funny in Plebs
I still keep a regular eye on the currency kidney. Thanks Doon :)
It’s Jane!

I think she moved to Scotland as a child with her family. Somewhere in Darkest Fife if I'm not mistaken
Smashing hair arrangement Brydon.
Yeah I noticed some months ago that he's got a lot more hair than he used to have, especially at the back. I wish I had!
8:27. It seems, from recent gutter ranting, that Jim Davidson has not become any less toxic.
I like Jim. But I am working class so understand why the wealthy dislike him.
@@garyphisher7375 . It's not a case of being 'working class' or 'wealthy', more a question of Davidson being an unfunny, lazy, regressive bigot.
@@curmudgeon1933 You are using buzzwords - you dislike him for being working class. You Labour voters are all the same - we know what you mean.
She’s a beautiful lady with long, golden hair. Come, come aboard the love train!

Doon 👑
Doon's character Cathy was so well played, I couldn't actually watch it two episodes on the trot.
To be in Chris Morris's kitchen.
Bridey McMahon!!
Doon really cut Rob down to size toward the end.
is it MackEEcan ? I always said Mack-itch-ann
Perception. Rob needs to watch James Acaster's Dave-talk.
Brill
😁👍🥇🇫🇮

Other places pay more per stream?
Because he gets paid to put full version on other platform. It’s simple
Yeah I know why
It’s a business, what do you expect? 🙄
Bam. First comment
