I liked the way you showed us how you processed your products from buying , taking pictures, to your inventory place and back to process to send to buyer. You gave lots of details and really enjoyed this video. Thank you
So helpful! My inventory is pretty small so far - but this is very nicely explained! I am curious as to your sell-thru rate - and what you do with stale inventory...maybe that's in a different video!
Very helpful, Tracy - thanks so much for taking the time to do this! Love your inventive inventory system :) I have sold on Ebay in the past, and right now I sell books on Amazon and home decor stuff on Etsy. I was surprised to see you put your item into the box to go into inventory right after you finishing listing it, because when I do a listing it seems like it's always necessary to input the shipping weight and dimensions of the shipping box. So all of my items are shelved "ready-to-ship", with item #'s written on the outside. If you don't mind my asking, how are you avoiding doing it that way? Thanks! -- Brenda --
Good evening Tracy.thank you for your most informative and detailed replay. i tried to get answer to this and other questions regard to the ebay selling and some how sellers do not replay maybe over busy or secretive ....god knows. it was very important for me to know the Technic of the auction vs buy it now. now i know how it works. again thanks a lot. you can imagine how thankful i am. respectfully and faithfully yours. Haim.E.
yes thank you i am as glad as very happy that i am here with you. it took me 8 years to get my self to learn ebay.i am proud of mself.i am not stupid but i had deep fear from the P.C. respectfully yours. Haim.E.
You are a very sweet person and appear to be down to earth. It is wonderful for you to so willing share your methods. I am trying to learn to sell on Ebay just our own stuff for 47 years of accumulating. I find it hard to find, clean, research, photograph, and list even 3 items a day, so I know I don't have a great system in place. I will have to watch your video over and over to see what organization that you do can help me the most. Thanks again.
+geritolgypse So glad you watch! I can do about ten items an hour on ebay (Amazon is much faster :) and I find it easier to gather all, then clean all, then photograph all, etc. Versus doing one item through to completion and then starting over.
HI Tracy. I absolutely love your channel, your friendliness and devotion to your family. I see that this was made in 2014. Amazon scans listings and will block listings that have symbols in the title. I had my best sellers blocked for almost 5 months due to a symbol in the title. I am understanding that eBay's search engine does not like symbols in the titles.
+Denise Martin The symbols was what I did for ebay. I'm FBA with Amazon and don't symbol anything. Sorry for the confusion. Now, I use B1 (for Bin 1) in the description. I'm cutting my ebay inventory to only one store, because I'm focusing more on Amazon and other business pursuits. I still love it, but ultimately don't want to have to be home to ship items.
Another great video! I have an off topic question, I do my best to save all my receipts for taxes. What do you do if you are selling products that you don't have a receipts for, like items you have from your home? Thanks for all you do.
+Joan Takacs I put the items that I don't have receipts for (ex: garage sales) into my Godaddy Bookeeping, along with the date and examples of what I purchased.
Enjoyed your video. I really need help in getting better organized. But I am wondering why you weigh the item when you are ready to ship? Dont you need that info when you list so customer knows cost for shipping or if you have free shipping you know what to add in to your price? Thank you
kimbkay It is good to weigh before you list so that you can ensure you are charging enough for your item. I've been doing it long enough now, that I can 'guess weigh' fairly accurately :) Or know what shipping price would safely cover my cost and use that cost as fixed for all buyers.
I just subscribed to your channel today. I am wondering why you don't drop ship? You wouldn't need inventory and it seems like less work? I am researching various methods as this is all new to me.
+krazidragonjaran I'm always sourcing... for fun, online, etc. Currently I am spending $1000 a week plus my new private label pursuits. When you love it, it's easy!
Generally not a good idea, unless you're listing on an e-commerce site and a local one. If it sells on, for example, Amazon at 3 am while you're asleep, and ebay at 5am while you're still asleep, then you're going to have to cancel one sale, and that could lead to negative feedback.
thanks for your help but i have one question i am living in Birmingham united kingdom how i can source for my ebay and amazon because we have different mall shop and no garage sale we have car boot sale only on summer i am very apreciate for your help REGARD FAZ
fathi HAOUEM Good question! I am going to research this topic (there's been a couple of International Sellers with similiar questions) and create a video soon for you.
Hi E girl!!! thank you for sharing your experience with the community. i am a man 68 years old, and i am watching the utubes and try to learn how to list an item on Ebay. but it is not clear to me how do you decide what format to list your item? on an auction or on buy it now? and what price to start an auction? your replay is most appreciated. faithfully yours. Haim.E.
+Haim Elghanayan Haim, please check out Amazon FBA, as I think you will love it! For ebay, I will list an item for auction if it has a lot of people that might fight over it. Examples of this could be curriculum, art, or anything that people might be interested in outbidding someone else in order to get the item. I start an auction for the lowest price I am willing to accept for the item. So if I have a special doll that I want $10 for at least, then I will start the auction at $10. I use Buy It Now for most of my items. An example of this would be a book. There might be 20 books like mine on ebay and no one will fight over it, so I sell it using this format. Hope this helps :)
Love these short informative videos! After reading so much on selling online - it's great to "SEE" someone doing it. So glad I found you!

Can you list the one item on different sites to sell.

Do you pay to track your items?
i need to take notes way more organised then me
