1:09:40 - Regarding if Jinx asked if they could go back to the house where the flare was...it was the basement of The Last Drop she left it and Silco took over The Last Drop after Vander left so she'd have had access to it.
I just came across your channel and loved your watch and commentary on the first season of Arcane. You are so adorable and you point out many small details others have not and I admire that. Please keep up the great work.
I feel like grenade was Jinx's way of taking control of the fight. I'm not sure if it was a general "nobody else gets to kill me" or "I don't want my friend to kill me" but it was her way to go out on her own terms. Which makes what Singed did even more of a violation, though I would think if she knew she could survive she'd have chosen that, still she wasn't given that choice. I take shooting Silco as defending Vi instinctively, but then immediately having overwhelming cognitive dissonance over it.
I may be wrong, but I think when jinx shoots Silco and says repeatedly....I'm sorry! This is the only time I remember her saying that about killing anyone. To Vi at the end of episode 3 when she realizes she killed everyone she says.. I was only trying to help. When she has her little freak out in ep 5 after the hextech causes ptsd...it was a mistake! But its different here.
Of course I could be wrong and she did. Oh! She says it to him earlier in ep. 4 in the office scene. I think. Perfect reason to do a full rewatch, you know just to check..
Another detail. When jinx pulls the trigger to fire the rocket launcher, she uses her thumb to pull the trigger, not her index finger which is very unusual. Her nails alternate pink and blue. Her thumb nail is pink, her fingernail is blue. So many ways to take that. Arcane doesn't do a close up detail for no reason. Now why they put that there? Gotta love this show. Every research there's something. Lol.
I don't know if you've seen it already. But they released behind the scenes videos on the development of arcane. They talk a bit about the animation style. It's on TH-cam and it's called bridging the rift, there are 5 episodes.

didn’t really process the whole silco taking over the last drop until much later, but it’s a nice detail! it makes sense now

I always love more Arcane content!

For a video essay you could do the deus irae thing in depth, since no one else has talked about it.
yeah, that could be a good idea!! i’ll see how i can expand on it instead of just being a rehash of what i already talked about

Also, during the Baptism scene, Silco tells her, "Jinx is perfect"
In this scene, he tells her, "You're perfect".
Her transformation is complete.
