Belagavi BJP Leader's atrocities on Marathas, BJP pays heavy price in 3 Constituencies
The Maratha Community which was was fragmented and was divided in smaller groups has started to reorganize itself. This has happened due to series of events that happened in the last 4 years. The maratha community complains that the BJP Leader in Belagavi South has been targeting the Maratha Community, grabbing their lands, using Police force on them and filing atrocity Cases on the youth or whoever comes his way. This has had a huge impact on the Lok sabha by-elections held in Belagavi after the death of Suresh Angadi. The Maratha community were traditionally BJP Voters and only contested in Local Body elections and Assembly Elections. This time they have contested against BJP mainly to counter the atrocities of the Belagavi South BJP Leader. Though Belagavi South is BJP fortress and even if a non Hindu candidate is given BJP ticket wins with a good margin but the anger of the maratha community has started rebelling from Belagavi South & it has had its impact on Belagavi North, Belgavi Rural also. This issue will have an impact on the upcoming Belagavi Corporation Elections & Assembly Elections. BJP will have to change the Party's Organisation and Leaders if they want to retain their dominance in Belagavi Taluka which has 3 constituencies.
