    Awesome video Jacob, pretty bloody annoying the bins fell in for the driver, but kind of good to see it happen. This truck is an absolute beast, can't wait for the second part

    nice one mate, you could be one of the lucky ones. i dont reckon this truck has much time left aswell as 859 which seems pretty bad. good to see someone taking it out and giving it a real hot crack even if bins are continuously falling in.

    Bloody good mate! Wonder if they will just repair the grabs or scrap it. Doubt they’ll scrap. Found this truck the other day and got some good photos of it. I spoke to the manager but he was the commercial truck not domestic truck one so couldn’t really ask him about the trucks. Anyway good video mate I’ll try get this truck collecting soon hopefully 🙏

      I reckon they could technically just try and fix it best to their ability first, but if no difference is made whatsoever I would just replace the grabbers, or if not, just buy a new truck.

    Nice video Jacob. I love how no one is actually explaining the problem. I see 2 possibilities:
    1: The belt is on the 120l hooks and therefore doesn't have the 'grab range' that a 240l belt would.
    2: The belt is mining belt, not legit Bucher belts. If this has happened then they need to order new belts.
    Overall a decent truck but at the same time, an absolute piece of crap in comfort and steering. You look at how he is yanking the steering wheel. I'm not singling out this truck, ours has the same problem, no power steering. If you got power steering, it makes a trip much easier. Also, from experience, sitting in one of these for even 10 minutes is (while relaxing) very bouncy and much more annoying in summer when the seat itches your backside to death. In reliability however, very good, almost perfect.

      Yeah I think there getting close to retirement too because they are 12 years old aswell and they were full time green waste trucks when in Brisbane. Trucks sounds amazing still tho but yeah just worn a bit everywhere else

    Great video! Truck is a beast love the sound of it. But you can tell he was getting pissed with all those bins falling into the hopper. The grip on the grabbers must be pretty shit aswell

    What I would personally do if I had my own rubbish truck service company, I would conduct tests on the truck arms when the truck is not in use, and determine whether or not the truck is going out

    What actually happens to the red bins in particular after they are emptied out from the trucks? Do they retrieve them from the rubbish and recycle them or the bins just go straight to landfill

    Belts must be no good to make the bins fall in

  • @AussiGarbos
    @AussiGarbos 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    do u know y he didn't get some of the bins out of the hooper they are just wasting bins

    • @Lotr2987
      @Lotr2987 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      He managed to retrieve the first 2 of the 4 bins out, the third one was probably too late before the compactor closed in on it, and the fourth he probably decided to let the compactor have it.
      Although he managed to save two of them which yes saves a bit of money worth of the bins that had to be replaced,
      There is still the rule with climbing into the hopper across councils all over Australia and New Zealand, retrieving bins from the hopper does save bins from needlessly being replaced, but it is dangerous
