Saw them in Hanover in 2017 and actually shed a tear or few listening to Slash's solo, realizing that i'm witnessing one of the greatest guitar players ever!
I was having my whiskey in some bar in LA in 1997 and slash just popped on stage. Played about 40 minutes of some amazing flamingo acoustic I've ever heard.
James McIvor let me tell u man, 80s stuff came and it went and suddenly it was cool not to solo and have a nice guitar with soaring vocals. That time in music will never happen again. We got the internet.
Neil David his voice changed. he can hit same notes on certain points but I love gnr so much i can listen to it all day. even the new axl. C ant wait for the concert in October!
Axl doesn't sound nearly as good. He sounds thin and weak. He used to sound like a monster back in the day. This band is alive because Slash and Duff are still kicking butt.
Well, all things considered (I saw them back in July) I think he is sounding VERY good for his age. His voice was weak in some of the songs, and he doesn't belt out the piercing screams anymore (like in You could be mine). However If he also tried keep doing that, in his 50s. He would surely end up doing exactly like Paul Stanley and Jon Bon Jovi. Their voices are completely blown out. (ESPECIALLY Stanley's, after what.. 2 or 3 vocal cord surgeries now?) You cant relive 30 years ago, but axle still delivers a wonderful performance, and it sounds a LOT better live than it does on youtube recordings. I felt I got my money's worth and if the will is there, I think the band is fully capable of putting out new material if they want to make this more than a money grab.
And they say Gibson guitars don't stay in tune. lol. no one plays like slash, the most hard hitting guitar player. He beat the crap out of that guitar for 16 long fukng minutes!! but still it stayed in tune. amazing!! If the music is a form of art so is Slash himself and his Gibson guitars. Respect ♥
Although all their old songs are great it would be good if they wrote some new songs don't get me wrong I love guns n roses and I'm not knocking them I just think it would be good for them and good for the fans

I watched Dizzy and i watched the chick and I see Dizzy actually playing the piano but the chick, I'm not sure how she holds her hands on the keys in one spot for so long there's got to be another reason she is tagging along.

Shawn Fisher you are tripping!! Steven is what gave GNR their distinctive sound, those hard hitting drums on Appetite was what made them different from other bands and when they kicked him out of the band... it was never the same💯
