Erm actually, the thumbnail is far from a win in 3 if we are speaking within the confines of the minigame "overflow" as there needs many moves to place black concrete powder to push off the yellow blocks.

hey gerg i have a problem, i tried to build this on bedrock but when i tried to the black powder concrete on the top get pushed two times so it drops two concrete not one, please help

i found a 9x9 board more convenient because making the center black concrete powder is 80 (divisible by 2, 4, 5, 8 and 10) while 81 itself is divisible by 3 and 9 leaving only 6 and 7 as oddities
for 6, having 78 blocks left (3 covered) is good and for 7 you can do 77 (4 covered)
this on average (with groups of 2-6) you get way more coloured spots and fewer black spots at the start

This works with 7x7 as well 48 (center covered) is 2,3,4,6,8 Players. 49 (none covered) is 7 and 3 covered is 45 which covers 5 players

to be honest, I'm really liking these longer minigame showcases. it doesn't force you to cram the entire thing.
1:43 if you want to make it survival friendlier, you could also use any block instead of the second observer and a noteblock instead of the third
Observers aren't that expensive if you're at the point where you're building stuff like this.
Your creativity is unreal! Such a simple and awesome game. Low barrier to entry high skill ceiling. Just perfect! Love the little twist with the blocker blocks. Keep it going this is awesome!

I really see the difference between long-video and shorts watchers:

@isaacmcghee9622 see in physics we don't calculate exceptions such as you we just focus on the majority which in my opinion is what I mentioned though it may not be accurate
I think giving each player a different button (1 per player) makes it easier to keep track of previous moves, they can just move/break the button on the next turn and place it on different sides except the opposite side.
An auto button breaker would be nice, perhaps put a sticky piston behind the block of the button so that it pushes forwards and breaks the button.
An observer can detect the piston moving to get a redstone signal, however it will activate twice so that’s something to think about

HUGE STRAT: placing your color of powdered sand closer to the center makes it hard for opponents to move those blocks off the game board. Also, if your not a shorts viewer, 8x8 works best

I saw you short and everyone was talking about how it sounded like the Overflow anime. Overall it's a great minigame. You are the Nikola Tesla of minigames except you have the resources to fund your projects.

I'm just thinking of a way to make the "no backsies" rule an automatic rule of the game by removing the opposite button when you make a move. I think you'd just need a command block to replace all buttons and then one to remove the opposite button for each one.
But then it's not creatable in Survival, as this usually is

Using the hoppers below, you could set up a sorting system to return the powder for the next fame or to refill the black powder as to not have a possible turn where the black concrete powder runs out

I have had an idea that I never actually did to make a map you can download and play with friends that functions like a temporary minigame server and your minigames seem quite fun to include in such a thing.

This is an actually pretty good game! I like the usual minigames you do, but this one's next level!
FINALLY! We have Chess 2.0 :). Seriously though, this is your best game YET! Absolutely amazing. I already have a strat in my mind as well. If you put one of your blocks inbetween someone elses blocks, they can't really get rid of you! If they try to move you away, they eliminate their own blocks as well! Tell me if this is good :)
The only problem with that would be to find a perfect condition to have 4 blocks on side. And its an underdog strat as they can literally sacrifice so the other player can eliminate your block. And as this game is a 2d game the block could actually be taken outside of that safe sphere.
HOWEVER That is a nice strat because your opponent loses a lot of turns before throwing you out.

Wow this looks really fun! I’ve seen a lot of these videos and this is the first game of his Im actually gonna try!
For my filling method, starting at 2 players. Center (2人), corners (3人), center (4人), corners (5人), center (6人), no empty spaces (7人). Any more than 7 players will introduce a whole new set of problems that cannot be fixed without completely overhauling the game design.

I feel like we could use this system to make a game like the board game labyrinth.
My favorite line of your is "it's minigaming time".
Technically there is a bit of strafegy to austinfelt's block battles as I have played it before but creating a deck certainly takes more effort than the actual game. While the videos may make it seem like it's pretty much random things bein played over and over (that's the point of the entire thing) once you actually play the game you realise there is at least a bit of strategy to it. And if there were even more blocks added to the server while it was playable, then it would take much more consideration, which warps are worth risking you own ones for, what block does what advantage to your opponent, ect. Either way, block battles is unfortunately dead so I guess R.I.P.

That is very simple yet interesting minigame, and I think that it would be very easy to make this game in physical boardgame format (easy for company making board games).

This game is fun, but it is very similar to a game called quixo. The game has the same sliding mechanic, but instead of eliminating an opponent, you try to get 4 of a kind. I know you didn’t copy it, but it does have similar mechanics.
Please also show how to build this or a separate vedio for building this games please

I think that when a player is eliminated, it would make more sense for their blocker token to STAY whereever it was; if it wasnt on the board, then it wouldnt make a difference.
That would easily allow people to make the game impossible to win by double locking their own blocks. It would be really unfun trust me
