Either I've watched too much anime or your recent Katarina arc is exactly like that new sensei arc where either the student only gets it right at the end of their session or they couldn't apply the lessons during training but when they're finally on their own all the teachings just click and they pull off everything they've learned (the most obvious one being RTB "playing like he owned the place" here, instead of playing too safe in the previous video).
