This song did not feel like 4 and a half minutes at all, I was left baffled just saying over and over “It can’t be over yet” as the instrumentals came to a close at the end. I love how they waited for this song to come to them after the album, the fact the album touches on grief and how this song/title track represents the other side of going through that harrowing emotion is so symbolic and meaningful. Signifying the notion that grief does not abide by time and must be felt through in full to heal from… absolutely surreal.
One of the best songs of the year, would expect nothing less from a song named after the AOTY.
Lol this song gave me tears on first listen too. It reminds me of “Emberglow” off of Heavener, that song made me cry when i first heard it.
