As the ironing board was chucked into the scrap heap I thought "I concur with that action." I use them for quilt projects and some crafting that requires heat, but otherwise to the dump wi' ye!

Polly, all the new appliances have the crazy new screws on them, had to buy a new set of tools almost to keep scraping. They are not cheap by any means,so don't be surprised when you go to get what you need. Good luck and keep scraping.

Where do you take the items that don’t go to the scrap yard ? If you sells them at a flea market, could you include some vids of same.
I’ve done a couple market vids but unfortunately my local market closed its doors for good. Hoping they can find a new location nearby.

I have multiple bulk buyers for various things but a lot of it is donated to clear space for the next scrap run

Poly, one of the last items you picked up was a washing machine and you said it was a condenser. What does a condenser do? It looked like a washing machine to me.
Yes I thought it was a washer at first too but it’s a condenser dryer. My guy always wants them.

I know I asked you b4 about the refrigerators? What does the trash people do with them? If y'all are not allowed to take to scrap yard due to the freon,how do the trash people deal with them?
They crush them and they go to landfill or transfer satiation
@PolyProphet it looks like the scrap yard would take them then, it's no different in the trash people to crush them and scrap yard to crush them, it's just crazy on things they will send to the landfill then to recycle it,
When the yard try’s to sell a load that has too many refrigerators, they get pinged a ‘rubbish tax’ on the entire load. They lose money.
They let one refrigerator here or there slide but generally discourage them. I don’t like them sometimes because they take up so much room and end up cutting the scrap run short.
@PolyProphet I can understand what you're saying, but it looks like the city would atleast find a way to recycle them instead of sending them to the landfill, the landfills are already full of regular trash and doesn't need stuff thrown in the landfill that can be recycled, I'm not trying to be or sound like a A--, and I know it's not your fault it's the city and country that's screwing up on this recycling stuff, I do scrapping myself and I like watching scrapping videos it's very educational and i hope soon I'll be able to post my own recycling videos

They were mid grade wire. You can strip them I guess but I’ll sell them as mid grade 👍
