Much ❤from Finland! You are right, we here in Finland just want to live a peaceful, independent life but since Russia's invasion of Crimea in 2014 we've had to ramp up and prepare ourselves for Russia's imperialistic war against us. Thanks to our NATO membership we can now be part of an alliance defending democratic rule of law against autocracy and tyranny.

You're writing absolute nonsense. First, figure out what happened in 2014. In 2014, a coup d'etat took place, the president was overthrown by illegal means. All the dissenters began, either to kill or to clamp down. Crimea did not want to live in such a country and asked for help from Russia. Not a single person died that day. And I have not said this yet, that Crimea should not have belonged to Ukraine after the collapse of the USSR in 1991. How people abroad have fucked up your heads.

We finns are fighters. We've one word that gives us power. Its called SISU. It means to not never give up, no matter the odds. If you want to look how the finnish army would react, lookup Battlefield Finland 2020. If Russia would attack, I would take the first boat or flight to Finland. Because its my homeland. And remember Simo Häyhä (the worlds deadliest sniper) his company of 31 men defended against 4000 soviet troop and they defend it for a entire winter. Plus there is only three roads to cross Finland from Russia. Rest of Finland is woods.
We finns had estrange past with Russia. Finns and Karelians was kidnap women and children was sold as slaves, up to far east. This is happened during the great wrath in 1714-1721. Then 1809, Russian annex Finland due to the Napoleon wars. Finland was happy the tsar rule. But then came the uprising, where the Nicolai the third wanted from the Grand Dutchy of Finland king Bobrikoff to Russify Finland. He was assassinated by an finn.
So yea, I know many in India still loves Russia. I just want to tell our side of the story that we've suffered a lot from Russia.

Its a win-win. Finland joining turns the border into a castle with potentially weak spots few and far between. The greatest benefit for USA is not placing troops in Finland, it is literally NOT placing troops in Finland, which leaves more troops and resources to places where they are needed more. That is the basis of all tactics: Be strong where you need to be strong.

Russias population is diving astronomically, their economy is nosediving, and they started with a third the population of the USA. There no more men, there is no more equipment (especially since secondary sanctions have run off most of their smugglers (Turkey), and there is no more money. It is not a matter of if or when Russia will collapse, it’s collapsing right now, we’re watching it. The majority of “neutral” parties have signed up for NATO admittance. The few countries that have not picked a side, or have picked the wrong side, will fail in all the same ways. India is under extreme threat of collapse. Denmark here... Do not be fooled, the US is of no military importance to the Nordic countries. The secretary general of NATO is Norwegian and the Nordic countries (Denmark, Norway, Sweden and Finland) have a larger economy and GDP than Russia according to the World Bank, and because of Russia's invasion of Ukraine, have turned from being fairly neutral to now having agreed to establish a unified air defence, which will include 139 brand new F-35 stealth fighter jets, 131 partly brand new Swedish Jas-39 Gripen fighter jets, 33 F-16 fighter jets and 55 F-18 Hornet fighter jets (not counting 55 trainer jets of the mentioned variants). And obviously non of the few handfuls of old Soviet jets Russia are facing in Ukraine or older fighter jets they would face in eastern Europe in general.
By joining NATO, Finland are also adding an active army personnel of 280,000 (ready for war) and a further 900,000 reserve personnel already specifically trained to face the Russians if needed. So actually the largest army in Western Europe.
Sweden produce their own fighter jets, armored personnel carriers and the most advanced self-propelled howitzers, and while Russia is pulling old T-55 tanks out of retirement with Putin also promising to modernize over 1,600 tanks over the next 3 years, Swedish manufacturer Saab expects to generate 400,000 units of Carl Gustaf, AT4, NLAW anti-tank weapons and ammo a year, or 1.2 million units over the next 3 years. The Nordic countries are now also greatly pushing for the donation of fighter jets in a coalition with other European countries, while not mentioning the USA at all.

Thanks guys, a good video, but missing some vital information/facts. Although Finland is a full NATO member now, even with out the NATO, Russia would have been out numbered. Finland has the biggest army in Europe, about 1,3 mio. fighters. Finland has the highest number of mobile artillery in Europe, morters and Haupitzers on the Russian border. Every road, bridge and infrastructure near the border will be destroyed by the Finns. And in addition to the Finnish Airforce, Norway, Sweden and Denmark will also in the future join together to defend Finland. A "mini NATO" inside the NATO. The current number of Fighter Jets is over 300. So, bring it on Russia!!!! Let`s settle this now. once and for all!!

That's how we also felt in Finland after WW2. But instead of feeling sorry for ourselves, we decided to work towards a better future for every sector in our society. One sector, however, got our attention especially: Defence policy. We started to ambiotiously put more and more resources to be able to defend our country, our people and our independency.
Yes, even those dark years of Finlandization, we still continued making our military more modern and more stronger. I remember how my grandparents told me that working hard and paying taxes is a way of making sure the state had enough money to do things for everyone of us. So, don't become Bitter. Don't feel sorry for yourselves. Change those negative feelings into something positive instead. The war will for sure be over one day. That's when Ukraine needs each one of you guys to start working for a better and stronger Ukrainian society. And both Finland and Ukraine have the common enemy: Russia. That being said, govt LEADERS do not always follow suit. Many world leaders will do what is best for their country economically and militarily even if it helps the "bad" side. The US is not immune from this. Lucky for Ukraine a majority of people from both sides of the political isle in US back Ukraine over Russia. But not all countries are helping. Nah, but they are part of QUAD, which isn't really a military alliance more of a partnership of nations in the Indo-Pacific region for cooperation in security, training exercises, diplomacy, but most of all it's been used for disaster relief within the Indo-Pacific area, helping people from tsunamis and typhoons and food shortages and stuff. Maybe one day though our relations will continue to get closer and we might end up forming together with India a Indo-Pacific version of NATO, except unlike NATO India would be a lot more powerful than any member of NATO (except US) so it would probably hold a large share of the influence within the alliance, even much larger than France or Turkiye's influence in NATO for sure.
There are two things preventing closer relations between the US and India. Russia and Pakistan. US's friendship with Pakistan and India's friendship with Russia is probably the single biggest sticking point that is slowing the warming of relations between US and India. But, even with those sticking points our nations do grow closer, for economic and military reasons, the biggest reason for both of those being China, and the need for the US to diversify it's trade across Asia so we are less dependent on China and the need for the India to do the same as well as them being a rapidly growing economy and in need of investment capital, something the US has lots of. We are also both militarily threatened by China, with India being threatened in the oceans regarding trade, and in the North regarding land claims. The US and its allies are being threatened in the oceans regarding trade and freedom of navigation as well, especially in South China Sea and East China Sea with their disputes with South Korea and Japan. They also threaten American territory of Guam and other US assets in the Indo-Pacific. China also threaten to conquer the 1st Island Chain of many different nations so they have full control the ocean in their immediate proximity giving them more options, they also want control of Andamans (India) to prevent India's ability to choke trade through the straits of Malacca. This would solve China's biggest weakness which is that most of their ability to make money (and weapons) is dependent on foreign exports, and currently multiple democracies are capable of hampering if not entirely preventing their ability to import goods and natural resources from other nations. Especially if these democracies work together, which they could fully if the US and India made a military alliance official. We'll see though, as even though China and economics are united US and India, the very serious bottleneck/problem of us both being friends with nations we don't trust and that specifically seem to hate our very existence. Most of Pakistan's foreign policy and propaganda is dedicated against India, same goes with the Russia regarding the US. While US and India should honestly both figure out ways to focus more on the real threat, China, and honestly ignore those wayward nations that clearly have no loyalty to either of us, so why should we? Pakistan betrayed the US in the Afghanistan intervention, and Russia would literally help China in its conquest of the world and it's land claims, including those within India. Russia itself believes it can justify any claims of land and justify annexation of that land, Ukraine is proof of that, but if not, Georgia and Chechnya are even more proof. It would definitely be both of them stretching the free world defenses at the same time, as both China and Russia seem to think they can justify conquest with mental gymnastics and ancient land claims.

Hahahahaaaa! We need and want nothing from Russia. Russians try to smuggle f.ex. cheese from Finland to St Petersburg.

Delusional projection. Before the war, it was russians who kept coming over to Finland to buy superior quality food

I never thought that a meeting of the Indians who support the Ukrainian Nazis and the NATO terrorist alliance. Forgot about the years of colonialism in your country? Who kept you in bondage? Definitely not Russians.

Pls. stop your pitiful propaganda. It's laughable and ridiculous. The former Soviet Union and Russia are welcome to come to terms with their fascist war crimes. Why do you think so many countries wanted to join NATO? Because of the great experiences they have had in the past?

How much of the 80 billions in support to the Ukraine is only an administrative value. Already written off equipment has been provided, and booked against new price. Sorry, but this is pure propaganda.

If you believe any participant in any war doesn't have a chance, you're just plain arrogant. But no, I don't think Russia has a significant chance, and lets be clear, in any war there are only losers.

Sam, you don't get it. Nobody hates the common people of Russia. It's the mentally ill Putin and government we hate that's infringing on the rights of others. Russian people often have no knowledge of what is really going on, with state TV assisting Putin to lie to Russian people on TV.
