    When he went down in the Bill's game he immediately started holding his head. Never touched his back. When he stumbled and looked confused and disoriented, that did NOT look like just a back injury. I find it VERY hard to believe he didn't suffer a head injury of some kind last Sunday.

      the league and teams think fans are dumb enough to believe their cover up attempts. I don’t know why they feel the need to lie to us instead of just coming out and saying “yeah, we fudged that situation up and have a lot to learn from this terrible situation”. How hard is that? To the point where if I were to bend my back, I'd posture with a backwards lean (for some reason it felt better like that) to try and ease the tension. Imo there's no way in hell it was a simple back issue. Even if it was, back issues connect to the spine and lower neck which sends signals to the brain stem/nervous system. My last year playing college football, I had a severe concussion. Continued playing through the whole game. There wasn't MUCH of a concussion protocol back then, but was checked out and cleared initially. That night I was in the hospital with neck spasms, vomiting, was shot up with morphine, and woke up in a CT scanner. Like I said, I played the whole game, and didn't start to feel "off" until our way home when the game was done. I was playing for free - I had no money incentive to play. I was just playing. These guys are making MILLIONS to play this game and there are always people hunting for your job. They need real advocates to say, your health must take priority. Just playing for the 10-11 years I did as a kid through high school and eventually college, I know I am left with permanent head trauma. I suffer from insanely debilitating migraines. It doesn't matter what the "protocol" said re: Tua's original injury. He suffered a concussion.
    I am a physician with experience dealing with patients with head injuries. When I saw how Tua's head hit the ground and his subsequent inability to walk steadily the first words out of my mouth were "significant concussion. He's done for today and likely some future games." It doesn't matter if he can count backward from 100 by 7's, knows what day of the week it is, where he is, the score of the game. It doesn't matter if his eyes react normally to light and he can focus. It doesn't matter if he tells you he is OK. You witnessed a man sustaining a blow to the head, grab his head, wobble "punch drunk" and stumble to the ground immediately thereafter. That means CONCUSSION!!
    I'm not sure who the physician was who "cleared" him to get back play but they have to be facing some very uncomfortable questions about their decision to allow him to continue playing.

What I think happened here is the Dolphins doctors told him that he was clear and Tua being none the wiser due to head trauma against the Bills thought he was okay to play and he very much was not. An independent neurologist should have been the one to clear Tua and not the Dolphins staff. That being said, as the HC, McDaniels should have went through further protocols regardless of what Dolphins dr's said. I get that McDaniels is glad that it's a concussion and not worse like several spinal damage leading to permenant paralysis, but still a concussion is a concussion regardless and it's still trauma to one of the most sensitive and vitals organs in our bodies.

    He said thank god it wasn't worse then it is. He didn't say thank god its just a concussion. Those two statements mean very different things. Its been pretty clear from day 1 McDaniels cares about Tua probably more then any other coach Tua has ever had. Prayers Up for Tua.

      That’s nice. Maybe it’s true. But if he loves tua that much, I would hate to know how he treats the ones he doesn’t care about.
      You don’t do concussion protocol cuz your back flared up. He cracked his head in that Bills game.

      @@rexfordmorgan7552 He's also not responsible for the concussion protocol, the NFL is and the doctors performing it. He's a coach. He has 0 medical education. The Doctor and Tua are the only people that can talk him in or out of letting Tua play. McDaniels said today that last night when they boarded the plane Tua came and sat next to McDaniel and Tua was saying he was affraid of missing games and McDaniels was the one to tell Tua that his recovery is what's important right now. Tua obviously is very passionate about playing and it leads to these unfortunate events sometimes.

      @@huffstudios4328 sure. The head coach in the nfl has no control over who plays or not and just does whatever his medical team says….
      Serious question, how old are you?

    • @huffstudios4328
      @huffstudios4328 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@rexfordmorgan7552 That's not my point. If the doctors clear him, Tua tells him he's fine, and there's no inclination from him to believe anything is wrong with Tua from interactions, behaviors, etc. then why wouldn't he play him? It's easy to say he shouldn't have played him in hindsight. The NFL's investigation is to cover themselves. It's the NFL's protocol and potentially a noncompetent Neurological Doctor contracted BY the NFL (not affiliated with the team) that's led to this outcome.

    They fired Flores, because he wouldn't lie for them. They have zero credibility. Until proven otherwise, whatever comes out of the mouths of fins management is lies. I'm angry, because I've had at least 4 concussion that have altered my life forever. Forever! I hate that organic, but wish a speedy recovery for Tua. Plane ride where the cabin pressure is contraindicated for a concussion. Then we here in Florida stoll have a low barometer from the hurricane. Low barometer mimics high altitude pressure. I had awful migraines Wednesday and Thursday. Thankfully my migraine meds helped some. This sickens me for the health of this young man going forward in his life. This is bigger than football. 😑

    SO IF TUA WAS SO OBVIOUSLY HURT WHY DIDNT THE NFL CALL IN AND SAY THAT TUA COULD NOT PLAY IN THE GAME

    Mike McDaniel needs to read Dale Earnhardt's book: Racing to the Finish, My Story. When he said luckily "it's just a concussion" he showed he knows nothing about concussions.

      When dealing with possibly being paralyzed from the neck down, yeah a concussion isn't that big of a deal.

    Absolutely no to using those caps in games. This would not have happened if the Dolpins protected Tua. This happened because he sustained the EXACT same injury in the EXACT same spot that he did last week. If he had the time to properly heal, this would not have been as bad.

    anyone else notice the irony that the sponsor for that Dolphins media session was the university of Miami health center?
