Put a bombardier in one of your tents and set your veterans to find cover to hide behind the tank traps. And upgrade your sniper towers because they can take out multiple troops with one shot. LIKE SO BARON CAN SEE!! Baron, back to my previous comment, you should remove all sandbags temporarily and put down the tank traps where you want. Veterans take dominance over tent spawned troops. This means that, in a way, you can guide your veterans to a certain area. If you spawn only snipers/sharpshooters from your tents and put the sandbags far away from the front line, they can wreak havoc. In my personal opinion use snipers because they can one shot units and far more accurate than the less accurate and less damaging sharpshooters. It's your call and your base. You also have a GOLD rapid deployment perk! USE IT! Also, for your troops, look at their medals and see what you can get. Baron try using the plague, fatigue and influenza attack cards together to help against three skull & nightmare opponents. They will tip the scales into your favor by decreasing the health, movement speed and increasing stagger chance by a great deal. The enemy suffers a decrease in movement speed by 40% and decrease in health by 25%. The enemies units are also more prone to being staggered which will leave the units vulnerable after surviving shockwaves created by explosions when these three attack cards are used together.for the fourth card its up to decide but these cards have decent enough synergy with proving grounds, fire rate and berserk. Also you have a gold rapid deployment so put that on your bombardier to pump them out more.
(Sniper towers can shoot over walls not rocks.dont do it though.) And i have a base idea place sniper towers by your base and get snipers pumping from the tents with sand bags by them so itl 1 shot kill with aa guns defending them get mortars and you do the rest.
there is only 1 case where a sniper tower can shoot over walls... and its an exploit... if you put the wall directly in front of the tower it can then shoot over the wall.. but it is an exploit and you could probably be banned for it...
its an exploit and i wouldnt reccomend doing it... but ive seen multiple bases using it... essentially you want to put a level 1 sniper tower right next to a wall.. as close as you can to it.. then when you rank it up its size increases and extends past the wall.. allowing it to shoot beyond the wall... its an exploit in the game and im not sure how this game deals with exploiters.. but i wouldnt generally recommend doing it. there is a base i saw someone fight on youtube that had sniper towers walled in on all 4 sides and using the exploit.. so that the soilders never tried to shoot it and it kept shooting them.. the truck wouldnt move past it eaither.. and this guy had like 4-5 sniper towers like that.
Thats exactly what I thought that base did with those 3 mortars... but they were all spread out, if they were targeting the same area, baron couldve been completely destroyed
How unit deployment at cover works (sandbags and tank traps work identical): One spawn from each tent goes to the VERY front cover you have that can be reached. Veterans will then take cover at any sandbags starting from the power lines you can see at the top of the map, they won't spawn past that certain point. Then spawns from tents will fill in the first cover in their walking path as they spawn, and tents can have 3 simultaneous spawns alive at once (the initial spawn at start of a battle doesn't count towards these 3). Any units unable to find cover will run at the enemy like the wave from your HQ every 60 seconds. There's so much to be said about base defense strategies and tactics that it could make a TH-cam reply into an essay, heh. :)
5:20 Baron a tip I can't believe none of the Brigade has told you but that was a excellent time to use a decoy and put it in between. Your units and the defences (so in the middle of the two entities) and for some reason the accuracy of the defences and enemy units increases to like 100% so don't worry about stray bullets hitting your troops even if your troops are standing right BEHIND the decoy c'mon Brigade like so he can see this is extremely important and he can win many more battles

Jeff Jones So long as no bunker or antiaircraft is within range, it should be fine. I've noticed less and less bases have antiaircraft near the back, so it's only a question of timing the respawns.
well actually, there is a zone around the HQ that prevents any airborne from entering and compact bases can eliminate airborne without too much damage dealt, still i understand your point and you are right, it is a great strategy to use.
Khronos The Avenger Tents are basically near HQ, which is near the red zone. No paratroopers can get by. aaaand they still have troop masses from the base itself.
Johnny Mailoa I am aware. Jeff pointed that out. It shouldn't be an issue if he skirts the edges of the HQ's area of influence and times the drop after the respawns. Besides, the point is to reduce the number of enemy reinforcements. That way, the troops you have won't be overwhelmed.

I don't know if you know this but every time a tent spawns in a unit, the time gets extended by 20 sec. That is what the 20 sec above the cool down is. This does not apply to HQ squads.
Baron, if you want to destroy a base with quantity quickly and with as little casualties as possible, you should bring bombing runs, missiles and other explosives like grenadiers, rockets. and bombardiers.
During CPU defends, be careful how you use firebombs and tear gas. If there is not enough firepower concentrated on them at the time then they will group up more. Medics can out heal firebombs, so only use them in the middle of a massive gunfight. teargas can be used to stall or split a large force by putting it in the back so your base can kill them sesperately.

Boost your grunts speed so they reinforce faster and stay in the front. It might be best to give your poison perk for the sharpshooters, but I will leave that up to you.It might be a good idea to use medics instead of surgeons until you can get more valor. You should buff your rangers with valor before your bombardiers so you can get them a minimum wage perk.
You should change one of you tents. You should have 1 grunt, 1 engineer, and the last should be a strong unit like rangers, RPGs, sharpshooters, or bombardiers. Or no grunts and get rid of some cover for more defenses.
I think that riots and flamers would be good, but you would need fat riots to attract the attention before the flamers arrive. Or replace the flamers with machine gunners to annihilate grunts and rangers.
Baron, you need to send out a screening force of only like 5-10 grunts like you used to. Sending out like all 30 would be a waste of cash because their just a screening force and their gonna die anyways.
GUYS PLEASE LIKE THIS COMMENT SO THAT BARON CAN SEE IT: I would like to introduce a better /effective way to use Decoys. In stead of seeing them as a card to kill or damage Enemy troops and structures see it as a distraction. You can use it to draw fire when your troops assault in full force for example when you guys walk in to a Choke Point place the Decoys in the line of sight of the defending units/buildings. Or when you what to build up good veterans, the decoys will let them fire at the enemy with out having a risk to die. One more example when your troops tactically retreat/ when you Rely Flag then back use the decoys to make sure they don’t get shot in the back.( etc.)
You need to update you units hats, some of them don't even have any. You should give your surgeons a strong regen hat to keep them alive, they won't be able to be revived, but you rarely have two surgeons near each other.You should also replace their speed with minimum wage.
to fight numbers just use explosive units or ranged units and some tanks to deal with a billion grunts, and also burst firing units such as rangers or mercenary's and sharp shooters too.
Baron,I would like to see what's the daily rations for like example day 20 straight , so even if you're not playing guns up for a day ,you could just quickly load the game get the rations and continue your daily routines

someone used a 4 airborne drop on my base to great effect... my base is usually extremally hard to take... only people with super powerful like tier 5 perks and like max attack cards get past... all except for this one guy who dropped in 4 paratroopers behind my lines... he was the only person to defeat my base without having like 6+ attack cards... most people ive seen defeat my base hammer me with like 4-5 missles and focus fire...
You rely on focus fires to much, try to save those for tougher enemies, and try to fight one skull enemies without bringing any cards(or use less useful ones like passive buffs) to farm cards. Retaliate as often as possible cause you get two bonus cards. Use bombing runs only for units, they do very little damage to structures.
Baron I think on that last attack you messed up by not using the tear gas when you had enough troops. You had a lot of troops in the choke point and had you stalled the defenses you could have swept them away easily.
Upgrade your sharpshooter some more, make them faster and if you get a riot shield pair him up with bombardier and surgeon or replace the bombardier with sharpshooter

Be careful when using attack cards on defense, they can damage your base. i notice you like to blow up your barb wire with landmines. Also stray bullets, fire, and explosives will all instantly set off mines, you can use this to chain attacks with mines and firebombs.Also mines do less damage than missiles.

I think you need to use your decoy more as a Decoy instead of trying to kill a defensive structure becouse most of the time it barely does damage while the sniper tower isn’t affected by it and still shoots at your units

Remember, decoys stop bullets, so you want to put them on the edge of sandbags. Only use them to attack structures if there are a lot of explosive units.

I see you have tons of stockpiled cards you should recycle them because reduce re-use recycle and also reasons

Tactical boots make all your units immune to barb wire. If you don't have one then use a missile or firebomb.

to make your veterans go to cover selecy HQ and veterans and select the 'Find Cover'
Use decoys with paratroopers for better results, put the decoy down IF other units start shooting at your paratroopers.

Remember, decoys stop bullets, so you want to put them on the edge of sandbags. Only use them to attack structures if there are a lot of explosive units.
