    Just bought one and it came with the great trail camera mount that is fully adjustable. No issues now.

      Good news I guess. Here's the bad part: Since I posted this video, the owner of HERD 360 contacted me. This entire product is a Chinese counterfeit copy of his design sold out of the back of the same factory. Spypoint knew they were stealing from him and proceeded anyway. They changed the spec from like 2000 to 2001 and called it "different". Scumbags.

    Mine has the adjustment, they must have listened to you.

      That's good news. I have since found out that this product is stolen from Herd 360. Spypoint convinced the factory that makes his designs to sell them to him... so I don't buy them, I buy Herd 360.

    Mine came with the FAKE plastic RAM mount which broke in the first week of use. I replaced it with a real RAM mount, and it works well. Change the plastic arm with the aluminum RAM and you'll be better off. As far as the solar panel, it won't keep up with the camera. Who has 24 hours of sunlight to charge the internal batteries as recommended.

      I have been using the Herd 360 panels, as I later found out Spypoint stole the Herd 360 design. They convinced the factory in China that was making Herd's products to sell directly to them with their own name on it.
      I have them on 5 cams, some without fully sun, and they have always worked fine.

    Mine won't even charge and the sun and the guy from tech support said my panel is supposed to be hooked up to the camera and a separate battery. But from what I understand it has a battery inside right? I wanna try charging it with the 5 volt charger but I lost it and gotta find it or get another one

    • @Traxxion
      @Traxxion ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes... the solar panel absolutely, positively IS the battery and requires no additional battery connected to it.

    You've lost me here. Why can't you screw the bracket into the east or west side of the tree and then stop screwing it in when the panel is at the proper angle. Not straight up, but at whatever degree angle you need. Problem solved.

    • @Traxxion
      @Traxxion ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Because you can't safely drive the mount into a tree with the panel mounted to it or it will break the threaded lug out of the plastic housing.
      I suppose you could pre drive the anchor into the tree, then remove it, then reassemble, then remount to the tree... but for $125 why am I working around a product that is missing parts?
      Another note: This actually is the Herd 360 Solar Panel... Spypoint is buying copies from an sleazy Chinese factory. The executives at Spypoint know they are buying someone else's product. They suck.

      @@Traxxion gotcha. You can't screw on the panel with the bracket already screwed into the tree.

    • @Traxxion
      @Traxxion ปีที่แล้ว

      @@gregorytubbs3444 No. The bracket is in the center of the panel, with only an inch of clearance. Turn a square 45 degrees and see what happens. :)

      @@Traxxion that's what I mean. The corners of the panel will hit the tree if you try to screw it on the bracket. Is that right?

    Do like I did and bent the mount. Party close to screw I have almost straight and other side nearly 45°

    Current models come with a swivel mount. Not sure who the actual OEM for the panel is, as there are a number of differently 'branded' panels with the same external dimesions, and electrical connection points, minor variations in battery capacity, and a couple different mounting setups, but it sounds like a poorly trained or individual idiot CS and some poor supplier and source control management. I will direct Spypoint management to this review so that they can take action.

    Use the strap that came with it and put something behind it on the tree to make your angle. Not really hard.

  • @schoney1
    @schoney1 10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    As I see it there are three problems. 1. The screw in mount is way too short which makes it necessary to attach the panel before screwing it to the tree pushing on the panel .{a tip; bracket facing so cable faces tree or cable downward} 2. If you want it to face south towards the sun (assuming so) avoid screwing it in on the south or north side of the tree (a compass may be necessary) and stop screwing it in when the black part faces south and tilted towards ... [wait for it]...THE SUN {Duh... not just up}. 3. Pull this review from your family of reviews to avoid the embarrassment of having another a$$troll like me point these things out and get more "likes" than you. ("up is the only option"... are you serious?)
    Ok... I agree... that bracket sux.
