The thing is Kira/Light ain’t wrong he did lower crime rate massively but the problem is his method is so short sighted, his goal for becoming a god will only last till he dies and then the world will only remember Kira as a phantom and mystery in a hundred years. Kira was so focused on fuelling his Ego that’s why he never achieved what he desired unlike Lelouch who wasn’t fuelled by ego, nor even revenge it was for love, his sister and the desire to change the world
