After testing, Orfist Masques is definitely fantastic, a lot of people online really need to test and try not to take things at face value and treat it as fact
@@DifferentFight H0MN is my JP code for the list I’ve been rocking. After testing plenty of games against my teammates (Gandiva / Wilista / Jet / Messiah / Eva / Youth) I feel that it has a ton of good back and forth games. On the off chance game I don’t see Masques early, Regis isn’t a bad VG to sit on due to Polarxis being an MVP for the deck
Bastion now being able to stand units below Grade 3 is actually a treat from the lore since he’s an elitist in the Sanctuary hence the G3 fetish he had in previous incarnations. “Sword of the People” means he’s found his way and is helping all of Keter as a whole, probably after being humiliated by Youthberk lmao. Makes me love Bastion even more now
Hey man, sometimes you need a good smack in the head to change your ways. Haven't keep up with the lore but didn't Youthberk and Bastion made peace after they're epic clash?
Something I love about this set is that it’s really good for new players. Did ya get a Magnolia starter deck? You got an upgrade to your main Vanguard. Did ya get an Orfist stand up deckset? You just got an upgrade to your deck. Did ya get a Bavsargra trial deck? New support for your deck. As someone who’s currently trying to grow his locals, this will be a good set for that :)
orfist is really solid and actually solves most of the problems for orfist. You get hard plussing now and have some really scary 5 atk much faster. It's near the top of the masques
One thing I think should be done now that Overdress has gotten to this point is compare the 4 big eras of Vanguard and how they were when they got to their Set 12 OG Meta with Set 12 was Binding of the Black Rings G Meta Set 12 with Dragon King's Awakening V Meta Set 12 was Divine Lightning Radiance and now with D Set 12 Evenfall Onslaught How each Game state was at the time, any controversies that persisted. The overall feel of the meta and designers future outlook at the time. Stuff like that. It would be nice to see how far Vanguard has evolved over those 4 eras since 2 of those 4 set 12's was near the end of their runs. G had 2 more main sets and then V ended for the most part with their Set 12. So it would be good to see and reflect on how D has come since then compared to how the other progressed to this point.
I joined vanguard during set 10 and I have loved D format. Yeah the OT does suck sometimes but it definitely makes the game a lot more dynamic. I think the thing D needs is a buff to decks without multi attack that isn’t just giving them a multi attack. Other then that I am liking this format I run into a lot of different decks options and they all feel unique to play against.
I appreciate that your background music for this is "Underworld Forest" from Last Bible 3 on the Super Famicom. Caught me off guard when it starts around 15min or so.
Love this format of showing each card of the set by nation lays out everything much more clearly to get a read on what you might be looking for good stuff!
Normally i would say Orfist masque is bizarre, considering that "overcoming an eternity" wants to be set and you never want to leave abyssal dark night, however, even burning your order activation on the mask, Orfist as deck got a bunch of ways to set multiple orders per turn, including Orfist masque itself, so you'll never need to discard your "overcoming an eternity" for cost or leave abyssal dark night(also yeah, polarxys dragon needs to be at 4 no questions asked).
Unironically this set's winner is Luard. It got a better G1 Wretch in the form of the Solrairon support, a pseudo-PG that can be searched in some matchups and the cat is just insane and alongside a pair of G2 Maples you can build a full board with 1 CB and striding.
The only cards that interest me in this set even slightly is the Bavsargra support. She is and will always be my Vanguard. I will master her and fight hard.
A thing I like about this set is that Bushi has shown that they can replace a piece of an established Ride line if it needs it (new G1 for Eugene ride line). Manifesting a ride line rework for Magnolia (Sylvan horned beast ride line) pls Bushi Im begging.
I might need to get all the Stoicheia stuff. Playing Granfia and Magnolia…. there’s tough to decide on which one goes hard with power and trying to find out a happy medium with drawing to refill guards and such.
Being testing bastion, as well. That's interesting to hear jp peeps saying it ain't good to run prime. I find it to be an semi opposite?, as to me I only go to prime as a finisher However, that's from my testing and builds. So I think jp likely has different lists in mind. But I'm also curious on jps lists too
I haven't tested gravidia myself yet, but i feel like being able to recycle orders from drop instead of being dependent on persona riding is nice. We may appreciate that. The crit and power will be missed but there's also the idea of getting multi attack on top of doublung triggers. Maybe calling at least 1 bacubirito and using the RR to still draw with extra steps might be fine. A 13k grade one that can put meteors back into the order zone is cool. Idk if Masque are supposed to be upgrades or side-grades. We should probably be careful not to expect too much, but also how often do we undersell a card and then it actually impresses us because we expected so little in the first place?
Our team testing Orfist a lots and can said it better in practice than on paper, the power, the pressure, the plus so much better than regis and also have some highroll element so pretty fun when using the deck.
From my testing of gore gravidia it very much feels like a finisher once the opp is at 4/5 dmg. Unfortunately still haven't found a chance to ride it cuz I keep shotgunning my opp to 6 lol
That g2 dragon in zorga is really good revive it with blue zorga or an order and then when it dies after battle recur another order! Also that order you me mentioned DF that gives triggers hella boost and on hit pressure applies to ANYTHING with 5k ORIGINAL base ! And it’s free! Alchemagicing it with say miasma or something and bringing back two prison dragons will be nuts! Say you alchemagic and are now on zorga masque hypothetically your front row has 2 dragon tree markers One of the orders you used was the free buffing one That’s 10k on roaming prisons from It’s own skill with crit then 10 k from the order then 10 k from zorga masque seeing you alchemagiced .. then 5k across the board from miasma and 5k from the markers That puts your prisons at 45k 2 crit before boost ! If you persona rode that turn also it makes it 55! And I believe it’s a continuous so it’s passive should you revive a keel to the Field it comes in with zorgas 10k buff from alchemagicing and 10k from the order that’s already 25 and onto a dragon tree marker makes it 30! If you also persona rode that brings it to 40k!!
I’ve been testing Gravidia masques and people are not swing the potential here. My list uses Combine Rusher as the grade 2 from ride deck. And since we all were using Grade 1 of Orfist and a world card and I use Polarxis Dragon. Since he works as dark or abyssal dark night, I use the meteorites I need, attack with him, call cards from hand to his rear guard, draw cards and Bacubirito pits back the pink meteorite back when called. Love this combo with Polarxis and Combina because I can make 4/5 attacks and don’t lose any hand.
Sounds pretty good but also pretty piece reliant. But who knows right now it’s only just been released in Japan and I’m not sure how much people have been playtesting the deck even as proxy cards or on the computer
@@janniksotirov yeah, it’s a bit piece reliant, but when it works it’s really good. Playtested a few times against magnolia masques, and won every time. The only time I lost agains a Lianorn masques was when I didn’t see a Gravidia masques, so the deck didn’t do much. But is still super fun :D
I quite enjoyed set 12 to be honest. orfist and magnolia are among my top 5 D decks along with Zorga, avantgarda and Drajeweled. Bastion accord and grandeur was a welcome addition to me which really solved a couple of its biggest weaknesses orfist is one of my favorite decks, and while I called orfist masques mediocre and the biggest disappointment in ages, it really is a good/solid deck with one of the scariest offensive plays we got currently. Dont discount a pure orfist regis built though thats also super solid still, both decks are viable magnolia masques I liked from the beginning, don't know why people were shitting on it. its the only masque deck where I tend to skip the persona ride turn if I go first all the time.
Tested Orfist Masques. Was able to win quite a few matches against Evil Eye, Zorga and Ghandeeva. But for Mushiking, I had to rely on trigger sacking much more just to rush hard enough to win 2-3 matches. By himself he's definitely not that great, but the support makes the deck roughly low Tier 1 to Tier 2? This is my list at the moment: Rideline is the same but G2 Im running Cubisia (some players run combine rusher but cb issue so...) 4x Orfist Masques 2x Masque of Hydragum 4x Polarix 2x Psyber Kaitul 2x Grunder [Another option I went for was 3x Psyber Kaitul and 1x Synthetica (G1 Brandt Gate RRR), which works as well if players doubt their luck in getting masque orders in this build] 3x PG 1x Elementaria Sanctitude 4x Opart 3x Overcoming an Eternity 1x Eclipsed Moonlight 1x In the Darkness Nobody knows 3x Hollowing Moonlit Night 8 Crits 3 Eff Draws 2 Vanilla Heals and 2 anti-stand heals (for matchups against Minerva, DOTE, Evil Eye specifically and MushiKing) I focused on filtering out the orders with Opart and Grunder, and also superior riding to Orfist Masques on G3 turn 1 without staying on Regis at all. I didn't play anti-crit heal triggers since this deck needs counterblast and I would usually need damage for my combos. So the main strat is just to filter order cards for Polarix to add orders into the order zone and deck thinning, and also priortising on triple driving rather than what orders to keep on the field during late games aka 2nd persona ride and so forth. If you like, you can try this build as it kinda gives a rough idea on how much potential Orfist Masques has.
I mean, this is the first of 2 sets for the season like set 9 was. Set 13 seems to be the actual hype deck with the new forms of our trio and such. Gravidia masques is really bad XD. Also has the Astroea problem where the Masques takes away stuff you want and/or need so you don't want to Masques into it right away
The g3 sol support is really really good. Enables 5 attacks (on turn 3 if highrolled), helps soul problems, and is a really good alt for cairbre (I'm too poor)
qustion for different fight if i use the brandgate masqued secher do i need dragon tree markers to be able to seach asking beacuse i can't find anywhre it tell if i need markers or not or if you kan skip marker and just seach
Re: Gravida Masques - honestly, I don't really see the (main) problem in her losing power or the crit, if you try to play that as finish when the opponent is at damage 4-5, she won't necessarily need crit&power to be threatening when she is a build-in Persona ride. The greatest issue imo is going to be deck space, I'd still want to run the original Nordlinger to get my meteorites - which need to be reduced to like 8 to make this work - out, 2x each of the order and the g3, 2-3 of the G2 that searches the Masque order and then you need units that you actually want to call with the Masques skill. Idek, what is shield or stability in this deck, it's going to be a nightmare. ;_; But yea, I definitely feel the same about this being a set where Singles are the way to go.
Y'know how much I thought you would be making a history collection video cause history collection is next friday. Oh yeah. Will you be making a introduction video into premium or new players to get into premium?? Cause currently I'm having issue choosing a clan for history collection since I'm new to premium? What made you choose DP as your clan DF??
Hi there, Tested Ominagruzio A LOT (mainly because I'm looking for a strong D Series Dark States deck and have been burned and disappointed with Bruce and Drajeweled). Getting the List right was rough honestly. And understanding the way Ominagruzio needs to be played was hard at first. What I ended up realising is that Ominagruzio, like Bavsargra is an attrition style of deck. You're gameplan is a sort of "perfect victory" where you want to start pushing only after having bound the 2 most common trigger in You're opponent's deck first, allowing you to gain ground while not allowing for any unforseen complications from damage triggers. Committing to the field when you don't have any good ways to replace the cards called to the field from your hand on the first G3 turn is always a bad idea. There would be times I would simply have Omina Masques and Ruin Collectors for a 2 vanguard attack and +3 to hand from drive checking to keep a hand for Welstea turns, Zorga turns/ Tempest turns etc .... You're hand size by turn 3 is about 9 to 10, thanks to Leimina refunding You're rideline cost, Gungnram and Misery Wing replacing themselves. In the starting hand you usually want to see 3 cards: a Heal trigger + MOH + Ruin Collector I said Heal trigger because you need to run a critical trigger as the starter of the rideline to guarantee a trigger type. Since Heal is also a guaranteed trigger in any opponent's decks, that way you secure You're first 2 bind targets ( you're third comes from Ominaowls). In this deck you usually don't mulligan off your triggers apart from your critical triggers, in order to guard with them very early (T1, T2): this allows 1) keep your damage at 0 by the time you ride your G2 2) accumulate different trigger types in your drop to bind them off You start taking damage when you're on grade 2, because you know you'll need at least 1 CB for the Ominagruzio stand The deck can refill it's boards pretty easily thanks to Leimina and Sheridder, Misery Wing can draw you into another unit to call when you're desperate to push the last few points of damage. The consistency is mostly there by running 4 of each Ominagruzio's and MOH, without needing to waste space on Skull Chemdah. Ominacrowg searches for Omina Masques, and OG Ominagruzio finds you're MOH or His Masques version. Leimina and Gungnram also allow you to dig for it, or simply SC the MOH and SB it out. What I think the deck is missing to become top tier, and even unfair is a 5th attack, or a RG that can gain a critical à la Eden. Overall though great deck, super fun, accessible and can steal wins from established decks
@@isaacngjunhan2180 Yeah No. I'm not desperate enough that I want to run copies of Jewel Core (a lot of people forget this, but Bubetsuu calls to an OPEN RC) and Bubetsu to have an extra attack in exchange for an additionnal CB and a minus 1 from hand. Absolutely not worth it IMO.
As someone who was hoping Eugene would get something to move into at least a rogue pick in the meta... set 12 is just a kick in the teeth for those that still play the deck. I mean, outside the g1 ride line card, the only major card can be used by Gandeva If Bushi doesn't give it support that actually bring it to a point that people won't just see it as a meme deck, why keep giving it support?
I feel like this set heavily benefits towards masques deck way more rather than non-masques decks. Next set probably where non-masques decks get the really good stuff.
I hope we get the quint stuff in English cuz ngl outside of them and the new Orfist, even though it’s mid, are really the only things I’m hyped from this set. Also as for Gravidia I really dislike it. Not only because it’s just bad but also because it’s just another RG restander making it just bland and feel like a lot of the other D bosses. I really wish her on ride effect was restore 2 meteors that are bound or in the drop, and the main effect literally just be the OG but given crit/ drive +1 and if you send 5 meteors you get to stack your deck with one trigger except for overtriggwr and heal
Gravidia play feels like the ethics reverse of OG. Like you need a lot before battle phase prepared already and if you dont then your wasting the skill. Its also kinda annoying, why not just be a restander of rg or at least bounce and call? It being called over just means needs more hand plus wasting good rg, having to kill those perfect g3 thay get crits will always be a waste.
This set is really troubling for English, we aren't getting the manga alternate art high rarities at all and likely won't get the anime collab lines until a few sets from this one. No chase cards in English outside of FFRs (most of which are cheap) and 5 less ride lines. Might be the worst main set dud in D so far.
as someone who bought gravidia, it simply just doesn't go plus enough. For a deck that runs essentially 11 orders that does nothing, the payoff of drawing two and retiring cards is nowhere near good enough. Also, the rideline is severely lacking, you literally have to run orfist instead of gravidia because adding a meteor and drawing 1 subsequently is awful since it can whiff hard. zorga literally draws 2 and dumps an order from literally it's grade 1, gravidia draws 1 off of it's grade 2 :P. So yeah the rideline is weak, and then don't get me started on what happens if you don't open persona ride. The answer is death, literally death. You will die if you don't persona ride, and that's a fact. All decks in the game scale with time, if you didn't sack your opponent you lost, plain and simple.
I've been doing rosarium fairy in granfia, and the card is legit cracked. Because its power gain and not equal to as well, it doesnt fail on triggers, and with my current build, I'm hitting over 60k in every attack. The scariest thing is that if you give all triggers to the noblerose, you still end up transferring that power to your rosas as well. Basically every trigger is a front trigger to them.

He has a video out called “Why I Main Dimension Police”
I shall dub this "The Cat Set".
Hi there,
Tested Ominagruzio A LOT (mainly because I'm looking for a strong D Series Dark States deck and have been burned and disappointed with Bruce and Drajeweled).
In the starting hand you usually want to see 3 cards: a Heal trigger + MOH + Ruin Collector
I said Heal trigger because you need to run a critical trigger as the starter of the rideline to guarantee a trigger type. Since Heal is also a guaranteed trigger in any opponent's decks, that way you secure You're first 2 bind targets ( you're third comes from Ominaowls). In this deck you usually don't mulligan off your triggers apart from your critical triggers, in order to guard with them very early (T1, T2): this allows
1) keep your damage at 0 by the time you ride your G2
2) accumulate different trigger types in your drop to bind them off
You start taking damage when you're on grade 2, because you know you'll need at least 1 CB for the Ominagruzio stand
The deck can refill it's boards pretty easily thanks to Leimina and Sheridder, Misery Wing can draw you into another unit to call when you're desperate to push the last few points of damage.
You could make a 5th attack with bubetsuu but i dont really suggest it imo

Yeah No.
I mean, outside the g1 ride line card, the only major card can be used by Gandeva
If Bushi doesn't give it support that actually bring it to a point that people won't just see it as a meme deck, why keep giving it support?
Buying my first case of this set because I'm chasing Bav support. Anyone in Socal want the the rest of the bulk at a cheap price?
I feel like this set heavily benefits towards masques deck way more rather than non-masques decks. Next set probably where non-masques decks get the really good stuff.
This has been the case since the introduction of masques honestly.
Avantgarda my beloved
Tbh the main thing holding back this set is the cycle and RR cards.
Avangata and orfist I will definitely building
What site do you use to see all the cards in the set like that.
Official Japanese VG website
Hear me out. New bav form, Valkyrie mode. She restands if you have more than 2 arms in drop
i have A Bastion Deck but I Have no Bastion prime.I use my Money on New Bastion but i have no money😢😢😅
This set is really troubling for English, we aren't getting the manga alternate art high rarities at all and likely won't get the anime collab lines until a few sets from this one. No chase cards in English outside of FFRs (most of which are cheap) and 5 less ride lines. Might be the worst main set dud in D so far.
someone save baromagnes please
Poor brandt this set
I’m happy Gravidia isn’t that good. Sorry for Gravidia fans, but I really hate facing that deck.
Cope francis Bro im crying LMAOOOOOOOOOO
as someone who bought gravidia, it simply just doesn't go plus enough.
