- Tankers from across Lancaster County, Along with several from Lebanon, a couple from Chester and one from Berks County operated at this massive 4th Alarm Working Commercial Building Fire in Ephrata Township, Lancaster County PA. Tankers worked for several hours shuttling water from 4 different fill sites to the dump sites right outside of Martin's Country Market on PA Route 322. This Video contains almost an hour of Tankers, Engine Tankers and Pumper Tankers responding to and from the fill sites along with a few other apparatus and police vehicles that responded to the incident.

Wow ,that's a lot of firetrucks responding, i hope everyone's safe ,nice catch my friend !!! 👍😊🚒🚑🚔
thats a lot of water there. what a sight , what a job. they needed water at that fire and they got it. well done all of you firemen. thank god we have you .
A lot of rural areas don't have fire hydrants they use tankers to put out fires and supply the engine companies and truck companies and they go refill at lakes ponds or rivers which is called tanker shuttling
That’s precisely my community and neighboring communities (Armstrong and Nippenose Townships).
😮😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😊😊😊😊😊😊😮😮
@ryanrequena9890 I never understood how hydrants aren't a requirement of building regulations, just about everywhere has hydrants in England and if more water is required you call for a HVP or two, my county with 39 stations has three water carriers
That old International is the best truck of the group... And best sounding too.
I made one like that in lego because I fell the same
no way man, the MACK
@@tsaffran you mean schaefferstown's towns mack mr, if so... I love that truck too! I almost made one lego, I am now Obsessed with tankers after seeing a tanker fill site...
Tankers are beautiful trucks!!!
A lot of thank you letters going out after this one. Tough operations, looked pretty smooth. Nice coverage.
@rainman14 you did a very great job with this video this is my favorite video u made
Thank you! Glad you liked it!
Nice seeing the tankers running back and forth but not far an hour would have been nice to get some of the fire ground activity
How impressive when TEAMWORK is showcased!!! Great vid🇺🇲👍🇺🇲👍🇺🇲
We live1 mile away shoped there for years now gone heartbroken 200firefighter 45companies community support overwellmiig thanks volunteers ❤
In Germany, we have the advantage of having a hydrant network in every town and village. Shuttle traffic by tankers is usually only carried out out out of town and only when there are no natural water withdrawal points.
The town water system ran out of water.
@@chazman4461 Here in Germany we have the opportunity to apply to the water service provider for a pressure increase in the hydrant network, so that the water supply is secure in the event of a fire.
Yeah so this call was also in a rural area, which is usually less “hydrated” anyways
They had hydrents but could not keep up
They deserve alot of credit tons of it let's honor and appreciate the paramedics and firemen who proudly serve us your service and time and efforts are deeply appreciated thanks great job great team work and great and sweet catches as usual great teams efforts by everyone who responds stay safe and warm out there much love and respect and appreciation job well done you should be amazed and proud way to go !!! Joe ❤😂😂😅😊😊😊
wow those are alot of tenders! thats crazy how many they needed for that
amazing tanker truck
👍👍...pumper- tanker fan from MN 🥶
Nice!!!!!
Thanks!
Wow they came from as far away as Kutztown!
Nice MC Mack!
So many possible questions!!! How far did they have to drive to the new water source? How many drop tanks did they use? I counted at least 7 tankers early in the video, with probably at least 2000 gallons (then I saw even more later)…..how many trips did they all take? What was the estimated number of gallons used to put it out?
GREAT JOB BY ALL!!!
Massive operation
That was a pretty big fire.
Great video with some really cool vehicles too!
Thank you!
Excellent video!! Thank you.

How in the hell did you get an HOUR’S worth of water tenders to one incident?!? Absolutely insane 👏
Because it was a half day incident, with a depleted borough water supply…. It’s really not that hard, even on a simple barn fire it could be done.
Seeing lots of blue colored fire hydrants along the route near and along path of where apparatus approaching fire site....??
The town system ran out of water.
Awesome catches
Thank you!

I wanted to film tanker 34 sooo bad... i waited and waited but i had to leave because i was waiting for almost a hour and it was to cold.
Btw nice catches!
13:20 tanker 30 with the jake break... i filmed that one...
20:10 and new Danville's tanker, which in my opinion isn't a tanker because it only carries 2100 Gallons...
2100 is a pretty standard size tank for a lot of companies. Even 2000 is pretty normal especially around my part of the state which isn't that far north of this incident
Ive counted 6 or 7 firetrucks needs a q siren 🚨
Good thing none of them were needed though
@@stevenpivornik9982 I do love the sound of the q siren 🚨
Nice
Nice catch
Thank you!
@@Rainman14 your welcome
Great video.
Thank you!
I'll take that old International any day
Fun fact i was in the lincoln gardens development the other day and it still smells like smoke
Do I see a hydrant by the Buttercuo sign post (2mins 35secs)?
They don't have fire hydrants near a commercial building? How did they ever get a certificate of occupancy?
Not every place is a big city, with “unlimited” amounts of water. If you really want to know, they basically depleted the water tower for the ENTIRE borough, and the borough said no more. You either truck water in for the fire, or truck water in to refill the tower, because the system to fill it isn’t designed to fill as fast as it goes out in this specific scenario. You can use “dirty” water from streams and ponds to fight the fire, and keep the clean water in the tower. Make sense? Good.
I see the tankers driving by 2 fire plugs on their way to the watering location. Aren't those plugs closer to the fire?
Because the borough told command that they couldn’t use anymore town water since they depleted the water towers to far down.
@danielzimmerman2821 thank you. I'm a city dweller, so not something I would have thought of.
@@marksellinger3736 Even cities have water towers because it's costly to have pumps/water treatment plants with enough output to supply water at peak demand so they have the water tower as a buffer.
@@ILikeTurtlesAndThings again, city slicker here....so I'm used to seeing those hydrants every few hundred feet. Lol
18:34 😂😂
18:34 who was the guy yelling at!
Geez!
when I was a kid growing up in Queen Annes County, Md. (Church Hill)
their tanker was a tractor trailer, why don't they use them anymore?
Easier to navigate roads with a traditional style tanker. I would assume a tractor trailer would require a cdl and possibly air brake endorsement. I could be wrong though, not sure how it works with those when it comes to emergency vehicles.
@@speedball10169 it's all good, that was a great variety of tankers and thank god none of the depts. needed them while being used. didn't realize at first it was the Martin fire very sad
They still use them but you just don't see them😅
Where did they fill up, lake, river other towns?
Why the lineup of takers at 23:41 waiting to turn left?
What was on fire. I know it was a commercial fire but what exactly. I used to be from that area.
Martin's
How many trucks is that?!?!?
Why don't they put the q siren on
What dept was the tanker at 2 2 2
Shaefferstown out of Lebanon county
Don’t this town have hydrants
Yes, but they depleted the tower….. called taking faster than receiving. Big fire means big water, and the system could not keep up.
How many different counties were there?
4
Lancaster Chester Berks Lebanon.
How Many Gallons of water did they shuttle?
Probably quite a lot. That Martin's fire was a big cooker.
@@DavidTheobald-nx3nm yeah... I woke up to see a 4th alarm fire and a fill site behind my house...
@@MilesNewmoyerwhat was burning?
Close to 1,000,000
@danielzimmerman2821 wow! Hey were you you on rescue 28 pumping out of the fill site at Martin Ave?
I saw your profile picture.
I was there filming all the trucks at the one corner
why no sirens?
I guess there sirens don't work
Everything was closed off by fire police. No need for sirens
(*tenders)
TANKERS 🤪🤪🤪
@TheRealJesseStoltzfus That's what they were called when I first started, in 1989! Nowadays, "tankers" drop water directly on the fire from the sky. Of course, we may never succeed in standardizing our terminology...
I'm surprised that no ladder and quint trucks showed up to help.
They had 8 of them there….. they were just at the building flowing water, doing what they were designed to do, instead of shuttling water….
More fire trucks videos please
Could've done a better job with traffic control.
Where is the fire?
Fire ,what Fire 🤬🤬
Why would he go close to a fire and plus they closed the road so they wouldn't allow him
❤ñp😅
Novia Barzani machine Nigeria Vanitha Avenue, Novia bazaar near machine are you?
58 min of the same trucks going by
video would be better if we did not have to see rainman14 on screen the whole time in my opinion
I don't understand this video I see a bunch of trucks going down the same road over and over again but no fire
I hate firefighters
Why
17:58 "Intercourse Fire Co" followed by "Tanker 69" lmfao
