I lived in Austin for the last fifteen years before I was forced to retire in 2014. My son still lives there. It's a fascinating city. The TV station that I worked for has their antenna tower just north of the Pennybacker bridge. The 1300 foot tower with six FM stations on it is out there too.

Dude i was visiting family members in Texas and it’s so green and the houses r look amazing and they are fricken HUGE
Resale for a $275k home is $225k. I get that it's new, but dang. Losing almost 20% on day one would feel more like buying an expensive car than an average house.
Kind of like buying a new car.
That area around the factory is not really prime real estate. It's so far out in the middle of nowhere East of I-35. It's very much a developing area - check back in 10-20 years and lets see that market value.

Karim Zuniga, if you take Hwy 71 from I-35 past the airport, then go north on Toll 130, it is the first exit called Harold Green Road
It is closer to the airport. If you go east from the airport on 71, then go north on Toll 130 to the first exit (Harold Green Road), you'll see it on the right.
Can't miss it. That new property is huge. Go to the Harold Green exit. You should go check it out, really amazing. All of that land used to be kind of swampy and very overgrown. It's completely transformed. And he's right about the trucks, they're non stop moving dirt in and out of that place.

Austin is getting EXPENSIVE. I've been here 10years now and it's just gotten silly expensive and crowded. I love Texas, but it's quickly becoming another California with everyone moving here from there. Glad to see Tesla coming. I drove by the site about a month ago and was AMAZED at how fast it was already coming. Will be interesting to to see if they meet their deadline for having the next vehicles roll out of that factory. Good luck to Elan and company.....

Example A nice 3 bedroom 2 bath 1200 square foot home with a pool used to cost $130,000 dollars back in the early 1990's. Now it's selling for $395,000. Wow the Californiazation of Austin Texas has begun. It's much cheaper to buy a nice house in Waco Texas. The only issue is that Waco Texas has very little nightlife and is super conservative (BAPTIST TOWN).
