The sad ironic fact is that 38 years later we can see that the retail outlets which he finds so dull provide visual evidence that Paisley centre in 1992 was a live, vibrant retail hub. In 1992 buddies probably thought it would always be like that but 38 years later we know different. The centre is all but dead.
@J P I'm not speaking about the two shopping centres; I was talking about the centre of Paisley as a whole. In 1992 it was a vibrant, live, retail centre. In 2020 - even pre Covid - it was and is God forsaken; mostly empty units, with a sprinkling of charity shops, hairdressers and fast food outlets. Sad.
@@MrPoupard same thing in most towns across the country , now everyone has money they go abroad on holiday and keep other countries economy up , British tourism built many resorts abroad that were just villages thanks mostly to crime gangs who fled to these places with their loot , all because of the weather , I remember Ayrshire coast was heavin in summer , not now , but gang fights and drugs didn't help ,
