Ganesh vandana : Ganesha is also known as Vighnaharta (the creator of obstacles)
as well as Vighnaharta (the destroyer of obstacles). Hence he is worshipped first so that
he may destroy any upcoming obstacle in the task taken.
One of Ganesha's roles is to entertain his parents, which he does by dancing. Shiva,
Ganesha, and all the dwarfish ganas love to dance because the act of dancing is
spiritually significant in Hinduism.
Vandana” means “to praise” or “surrender” in Hindi, so Ganesh Vandana means to
praise the Lord Ganesha, and to surrender to his power. Many Hindus believe that the
dance helps people unblock disturbances in their lives, so that they can attain a more
spiritually fulfilling relationship with the divine
Impressed by his love for the parents and intelligence in winning the race, Lord Shiva
and Goddess Parvati blessed him with the fruit of Knowledge along with that of
immortality. This is the reason why we seek blessing from ineffably charming lord
Ganesha before beginning anything new.
